PFLAG Blairsville We are parents, families, friends, and allies uniting with le***an, gay, bisexual, and transgender lo Call (706) 389-5269 for information.

PFLAG provides a confidential and non-judgemental place of support to learn about sexual orientation and gender identity. Our goal is to assist LGBTQ persons, their families and allies in their journey toward understanding and acceptance. We serve the communities of the North Georgia Mountains, Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee. PFLAG Blairsville is a non-profit organization and is not affiliated with any religious or political institution. As ambassadors of love and hope, PFLAG members improve the lives of gay, le***an, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through:

Support - to embrace families, allies and people who are LGBTQ;

Education - to enlighten ourselves and others about the unique challenges facing people who are LGBTQ;

Advocacy - to change attitudes and create policies that achieve full equality for LGBTQ individuals. We provide opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and act to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity. Monthly meetings are held and provide a place for parents, families, friends, allies and the LGBTQ community to visit seeking support and understanding.

Beloved by q***r communities for decades—most memorably for his role as Frank-n-Furter, the sweet transvestite, from Tr*******al, Transylvania! in The Rocky Horror Picture Show—Tim Curry has been a light in the darkness of everybody's life.

The recipient of an Emmy Award, and nominated for Tony Awards, Olivier Awards, a Grammy, and more, Tim Curry had a prolific career that spanned Broadway, the West End, small-screen and big-screen roles, and albums that had us all “...do the rock.”

Rest in peace, Tim Curry.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dolly Parton, a beloved icon and a fierce, outspoken ally of the LGBTQ+ community for decades.
