What an uplifting experience we had at our booth at the Union County Farmers Market.

A heartfelt Thank You to everyone that contributed by selecting a “Blind date with a book” we deeply appreciate your unwavering support and enthusiasm. We were “sold out” well before the market closed, a truly remarkable achievement. These three young ladies obtained our last three books, a testament to the power of community.

A very successful fundraiser as well as meaningful interactions.

Thank you so very much also to our loyal super Volunteers Mary Ellen, Robert and Berney for your selfless dedication and commitment today.

We have the most amazing members, with less than 24 hour notice, we came together this morning to wrap, decorate and sort 56 books for our upcoming “Blind date with a book“ fundraiser at the Union County Farmers Market, a true testament to our team's dedication.

Special recognition to Ingles Co Manager Tina Brown for her generous donation of brown paper bags to use for wrapping our books.

Another heartfelt thank you to Jackie Volks for her tireless efforts in cataloging, sorting and writing up captivating book descriptions. Jackie called it „ a labor if love“ .

We had a wonderful time today with lots of laughs at the Union County Nursing Home, where we engaged in a reading aloud session for adults.
Representing the Friends of Union County Library were Joan Dorogi and Vera Coupal, while Jackie Volk and Cathy Dalton represented both the Friends of Union County Library and the Georgia Mountain Writers Club.

Both we and the residents are looking forward to our next visit next month.

Big congratulations to Employee of the Year, our Assistant Branch Manager Morgan 🥳🥳🥳!

Once a year, all MRLS staff get together for a day of learning and fellowship! This year we met at the new Fannin location and had a day focused on marketing. We also celebrated our employees who have been here 5, 10, and even 20+ years! And we did our first ever employee of the year, received by UCPL's Assistant Branch Manager Morgan. We appreciate our Friends groups, which help us provide food and more on this day every year.
