Friends of Lake Nottely, we need your help.

1. In advance of the public hearing on September 23, we would like to streamline some of the questions and comments as we know many of you will have the same questions and concerns. We will be submitting them to the Georgia EPD *ahead* of the call. If you have any questions or comments, you can leave them on this post. As the GA EPD is conducting the call, we don't have access to an outline or agenda at this point, but again we will be giving them feedback ahead of the call.

2. Thank you to those of you who have contributed to the gofundme campaign. These funds are being used for the following:

1. Demand Priority Pollutants Testing to determine what is actually in the water. This testing is done on the incoming Leachate being trucked from the Landfill. A Priority Pollutants test will test for the toxic chemicals, NOT just e-coli and household contaminants.

2. Seek to stop the Dumping of Leachate into Butternut Creek and Lake Nottely.

3. Elevate this problem to obtain a state-wide policy to manage toxic Leachate.

Friends of Lake Nottely, WE NEED YOUR HELP!

There is a public hearing on September 23 concerning the reissuance of a permit that allows leachate to be dumped into Lake Nottely.

We are raising funds to support legal representation to:

1. Demand Priority Pollutants Testing to determine what is actually in the water.
2. Seek to stop the Dumping of Leachate into Butternut Creek and Lake Nottely.
3. Elevate this problem to obtain a state-wide policy to manage toxic Leachate.

Please help us get the word out! Friends, wanted to re-share the go fund me page and also thank those that have already contributed. In time leading up to the public hearing on September 23, we are planning to have the leachate tested and the contributions will go towards this and legal costs.
