Hi friends! 🌲🐻
We had the sweetest time at the Quincy Children’s Fair last Saturday. Days like that remind us how special this little mountain community is — kids running around barefoot, parents visiting, familiar faces stopping by, new families saying hello, and everyone coming together to support something good for our children.
Lost Sierra Kids had so much fun sharing our Smokey Bear craft, sensory bins, face painting, live ladybugs, and our usual open-ended play setup. Watching the kids explore, create, get messy, ask questions, and just be kids was exactly why we do this.
We appreciate each and every one of you. Truly. Your support means the world to us. Every conversation, every donation, every share, every kind word, and every family who shows up helps us move closer to opening the Lost Sierra Kids schoolhouse.
Our dream is to create a space here in our rural town where children can learn through play, connect with nature, feel safe and loved, and grow in community. Events like these help make that dream possible.
Thank you, for showing up for local kids and believing in what we’re building. There are so many ways to help us get there. You can donate, volunteer your time, share our posts, come to playgroup, come to our fundraisers, or help spread the word. We are also looking for local artists who would love to help paint a mural at the schoolhouse. Please DM me if you are interested in volunteering this summer. We need this community’s hands, hearts, creativity, and time to build something our community has been longing for - a home, a space for our kids to gather and grow up together, strengthening the community by fostering meaningful relationships with each other and the world around us is what we are all about here at Lost Sierra Kids.
