Blair High School Alumni Association

The BHS (NE) Alumni Association will maintain effective communications with Alumni, Parents, Students & Friends while supporting the mission of Blair Schools.

The mission of the Blair High School Alumni Association will be to maintain effective communications with the Alumni, Parents, Students and Friends of our Schools. We support the educational objectives of Blair Community Schools. This group will recognize outstanding alumni and help coordinate alumni gatherings.

FRIDAY FLASHBACK!!! Track at BHS in 1975-1976 christened their new track and sent 17 athletes to State! (Girls =12 & Boys=5) The girls won two invites plus conference and district championships. The boys won the North Bend Invite and finished runner up in two others.

WAY BACK WEDNESDAY !!! Organizations at BHS in 1962-1963 included Future Nurses, Student Council and Future Scientists. A hospital visit, helping a family in need, Science Academy and field trips were just some of these clubs’ activities.

MEMORIES MONDAY!!! Homecoming at BHS in 1987-1988 was a fun filled week. Powder puff football game, bonfire, pep rally, Mr. & Mrs. Enthusiasm, parade, coronation and dance all raised spirits. Football’s 37-7 win was exciting! Kelly Ryan & Janet Kruse were crowned king and queen.

THROW BACK THURSDAY!!! We salute and honor the BHS Class of 1955-1956 on the 70th anniversary of their graduation. Thank you for lives lived that have blessed many. You have worked, raised families, served your country, been involved in your communities, practiced lessons learned at BHS and made the world a better place. Thank you for all your contributions to BHS as students participating in sports, music, drama, organizations and more. Your high standards inspired those who came after you. You have been a light to those around you. Enjoy your retirement years! You’ve definitely earned it!

TALK ABOUT IT TUESDAY!!! Clubs were active at BHS in 2000-2001. They attended conventions, participated in competitions and were involved in fundraising. FFA, MCC and French Club were just some of the organizations involved.

FRIDAY FLASHBACK!!! We salute the BHS Class of 1985-1986 on the 40th anniversary of their graduation. Hope you've taken the BHS lessons learned and made the world a better place! Thanks for the BHS memories you gave us in sports, drama, band, choir, organizations, and more! Wishing you all the best as you work, raise families, enjoy grandkids, serve in your communities, and continue to make the world a better place! Be a light to those around you!

WAY BACK WEDNESDAY!!! Coming up with a Tattler in 1919-1920 was a noble undertaking! Thanks to hard working students and the school board’s support, it came to be. BHS welcomed back an orchestra. Students enjoyed performing in different plays. Seniors surprised everyone with a “Sneak Day!”

MEMORIES MONDAY!!! Homecoming topped the activities for September and October at BHS in 1958-1959. Football games, band trip to the State Fair, the Junior Class play and those IOWA Tests were also on the calendar.
