Goooood morning! It's Monday, so we're here with a list of some upcoming events & activities. Mark your calendar - you won't want to miss them!
🪡 Beginner Sewing Class this Thursday, Oct. 22, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Blaine Community Center. $25 per person, registration required.
💥 Upbeat Pilates is canceled this month; instead, we will have a POUND Pop Up this Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Blaine Pavilion. $5 per person drop in.
🍬 Trick or Treat on the Berm is this Saturday, Oct. 24, from 3-5 p.m. Free & open to all!
🎃 Halloween Dance Party on Oct. 30 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Blaine Community Center. $5 per person; tickets available online or at the door.
👻 Let's Boo-gie Zumba Dance Party on Oct. 31 at 9 a.m. at the Birch Bay Activity Center. $5 per person drop in - costumes encouraged (but not required!)
🍄 Mushroom Foraging 101 on Oct. 31 at Birch Bay State Park from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Free & open to all (WA State Parks Pass required).

A little reminder from your neighborhood Park & Rec:
You don't have to be good at something to give it a try.
You don't have to know someone to show up.
And you definitely don't have to have it all figured out.

We’re here for the first-timers, the “I haven’t done this in years” crowd, the solo adventurers, the curious neighbors, and anyone looking for a reason to get out, try something new, and connect with their community.

So here are 5 things we don’t do around here. 👀

What DO we do? Make space for people to show up, try something new, and find their people.

Do you have a teen in your life looking to build strength, improve fitness, and develop healthy exercise habits? Join Luke Tyler of BBBPRD2 for Teen Strength Training, a 5-week series starting Thursday, Nov. 5th. Each 60-minute session with combine strength workouts, circuits, and conditioning exercises in a safe and encouraging environment.
Cost is $45 per person; registration is required.

Alexa, play "Monster Mash" 👻🧟🎵
We're just two weeks away from our annual Halloween Dance Party, and we can't wait to boo-gie with you! Join us on Friday, Oct. 30 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Blaine Community Center for a spook-tacular event full of costumes, games, activities, snacks, and lots of dancing!
Tickets are $5 per person, and available online or at the door.

🎃👻 Trick-or-Treat on the Berm is almost here! 👻🎃

Get those costumes ready and join us Saturday, October 24 from 3–5 PM for a FREE afternoon of Halloween fun along the Birch Bay berm!

🍬 Stroll the berm and collect treats from local businesses, organizations, and community groups at their creative Halloween-themed treat stops!

📍 Treat stops will run along the berm from the Birch Bay Vogt Library Express at 7948 Birch Bay Drive to Lora Lane.

And while you're here, make a day of it and explore more of Birch Bay! Our local businesses are ready to welcome you before and after the festivities.

Even wanted to learn to mend or sew? This is your chance! Join instructor Mischelle to learn to use a sewing machine to create a tote bag. Bring your own sewing machine, 1 yard of fabric (medium weight cotton preferred), fabric scissors and sewing pins - limited supplies available upon request.
Cost is $25 per person, registration required, open to ages 16+.
