We’ve been busy this week after school studying for two upcoming contests, the Agronomy CDE and the Wildlife CDE!

It’s more of a challenge now days to get a team of students that make all of their schedules work to come together for practice. Between transportation, being at different schools and making it back to the career center afterschool, jobs, sports, church, etc. it’s incredibly difficult to come together. I’m incredible thankful for the time these students have made to attend study sessions/practice each week afterschool!

Thank you all!!!💙

Yesterday we welcomed Mrs. Jill Hurst with SC Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom. She introduced various activities to our big kids that we could do in partnership at our other schools with our little kids!!💙 We love any opportunity to AGvocate and educate our youth!

Thank you Mrs. Hurst for a fun and interactive visit!!

It was also spirit week at some of our schools this week so don’t mind the costumes/outfits for some dressed as seniors for senior citizen day and some in pajamas! 🤣

Over the summer we announced that
KK Redd was 1 of 39 SC FFA members receiving their American FFA Degree this week! This prestigious honor is awarded to less than 1% of members, making this a significant achievement.

KK will receive this honor tomorrow morning at session and although we will be at the airport, we will be cheering for you from there!

Congratulations in advance on your achievement, we are so incredibly proud of you! 💙💛💙

We had a great day bonding as a chapter to wrap up our last day in Indy! We attending the Three Hills Rodeo, the girl’s uber was a Tesla so that was a cool experience on the way to the rodeo! Students were able to meet and greet with the riders before the show and get autographs, sit on a bull for a picture and walk around the arena to see the animals. Afterwards we ordered pizza and had a game night at the hotel!

We’ve had too many laughs to count this trip and are grateful for the opportunity to attend the 99th National FFA Convention and Expo! 💙💛💙

SC were coming for ya in the morning!

Day 2 was long, was tiring but was so worth it!!! Students walked roughly 7 miles today as we took on our second full day of the 99th National FFA Convention.

We started the morning off at 6:30 this morning as we traveled to Lucas Oil Stadium for the 1st General Session. We danced, we heard from US Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Collins; heard from our National FFA Advisor, and heard from our motivational speaker and former past National Officer, Scott McKain!!

Then students attended a workshop, Farm for an Hour. Students could experience the joys and discomforts of agricultural life as they worked with their team to manage a farm through two years of unexpected challenges, tough decisions, and changing conditions. They were left to question: Can you balance money, sustainability, and community well enough to keep your farm thriving?

Lastly, students met with other chapters from across the country as National Teacher Ambassadors were invited to bring their students to a reunion dinner and program this evening!

Tomorrow we head to the rodeo!

We had a fun and eventful day exploring the convention expo and shopping mall! Students were able to visit various college booths and meet with leaders in the ag industry to practice networking skills!!They also came back with lots of free stuff today!!

This evening we went to The Food Garage and played Duck Pin Bowling for some fellowship time as a chapter officer team!!

Thank you again to those who supported our group through donations, all transportation, breakfast and drinks for their rooms and bowling tonight was covered at no expense to the students! There will also be enough to get us through the week with transportation and pizza for dinner one night!!

Tomorrow will be a LONG day but we are excited as we take on Day 2 of convention!!💙💛💙

10/21/2026

We made it to Indy and had time to explore while deciding on what to do for dinner tonight! Ready for a busy, fun, and incredible time this week!

10/20/2026

And we’re off to the 99th National FFA Convention in Indy!!!!! 💙💛💙
