s a wealth of new leaders and voices from many places, such as Fridays for Future marches around the world, to the Waroni people in Ecuador successfully fighting oil drilling in their territory. But, as extreme weather events have shown, climate change does not wait. The record hate, floods, droughts, and fires 🌩🌊🌪🔥 are here to remind us that the cost of inaction is too high. We need to act fast, with ambition and unity, embracing both the wisdom of elders and fresh new thinking. Food Nature Climate hopes to capture new ideas bubbling up in intersectional spaces around the world. This is a space by the movement, for the movement. A space to collect stories and resources to support people engaged in the battle for the planet by those who are actively dedicated to this work. ✔️️✔️️
Youth, women, communities of colour, Indigenous People, scientists -- we are more powerful when we work together and no one is left behind. Rising to the enormous challenge of the climate crisis can only succeed if we collaborate. As Dr. Mary Heglar wrote, we need to be prepared to welcome 'new climate people' as more people are eager to find ways to join the climate movement:

It's finally found its way out of the academy, oozed out of the Big Green groups and expert circles, and landed in the streets and on everyone's lips. Here you will find contributors from diverse fields and backgrounds, from leading scientists working hard to bring evidence-based solutions to the climate crisis, to local leaders fighting for the protection of their lands, from researchers investigating corporate links to environmental crimes to the passionate youth building momentum for climate action. In practice, that means we’ll be constantly looking for new ideas, campaigns, toolkits, news stories, research, and resources, to share with you. So whether you're a climate veteran or just starting your journey, we hope to inspire you with ideas, actions, and alliances to help push the entire movement forward. 🌏
