Did someone say service project?

This past weekend, some members of Golf Company traveled to the local YMCA thrift shop to help organize their storage rooms, truly embodying the meaning of Ut Prosim.
The staff there can always use help, so for future service projects please consider lending a helping hand at The Y!

“I came to the corps because I loved the balance of a strict military environment along with the pluses of a normal college campus. On top of that, VT has the largest NROTC program in the country which I felt would help develop me into a better Naval Officer after graduation. For the freshmen and sophomores: branch out on campus. Yes you are cadets but you are students here too. Find what makes you passionate and surround yourselves with likeminded people to help fuel your drive as a student, a cadet, and a future leader. I’m psyched to be in Golf this semester and I can’t wait to keep leading the battalion from the front!”

Quote: “I have always wanted to get a pilot license and fly cross country. One of my childhood dreams was to become a professional polo player. Always being told I couldn’t make it is what motivated me to exceed my own expectations of myself. One thing I’ve learned in life is if you have time to do something now, then do it. Don’t wait, because you never know if you will ever get the chance again. I never want to live life with regrets, so I take advantage of all the opportunities that come by.”

“I grew up in a dual military family and I knew I wanted to join the Army from a young age. When I toured Tech, I fell in love with the university and have cherished the opportunity to grow as an individual and leader.”

Favorite memory: tapping esprit and my first football game with them. Nothing beats the energy of a Virginia Tech football game.

Introducing our first “meet your top 3” beginning with our FA22 CO C/CPT Stanley!

Desired job: Fighter pilot
Hobbies: wakeboarding, fishing, eating, barefoot waterskiing, wrestling, eating, building stuff, seeing friends, video games, etc.
Corps positions: Foxtrot cadre, FR SL, PSG, FTL, head new (32sec).
AF positions: Wing morale officer and continuity officer
Car: 2002 green Toyota Rav-4 named The Turtle
Fun fact: During the first week of freshmen yr I ironed a shirt on my body and melted it to my chest

“Honestly I joined AFROTC because people kept telling me I wouldn’t be able to do it and I wanted that door of opportunity open. I love the opportunity to serve others and potentially travel faster than the speed of sound at the same time. Plus my Dad has always wanted to fly in a jet so I’d try to take him up if I could. The Corps has given me great opportunities to realize my weaknesses and strengths while also allowing me to better skills.”

Favorite memory: the 6 overtime game from freshman year and dumping a water bottle on the Bravo 1SG because we won, or winning platoon tac as PSG.

Our golfers showed out at company athletics against Hotel and Foxtrot, as well as the Spartan Armor challenge that included animal PT! Our members are also getting involved in intramural sports through a flag football team, keep it up🏌🏻‍♂️⛳️
