Thank you, Virginia Tech Police, for sharing Chief Babb with us for lunch yesterday! He addressed the hot button item of Flock cameras and shared valuable insight. We are grateful for the ways law enforcement is protecting our community and the VT campus.

THANK YOU!!

As we close out the books on our successful 2026 Golf Tournament, we want to extend a round of applause and our sincere gratitude to the sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and community members who made this event such a tremendous success.

Because of your generosity and support, we raised more than $16,250 that will help the Kiwanis Club continue serving children and families in our community through scholarships, youth programs, service projects, and other local initiatives.

A special thank you goes out to our major sponsors, whose commitment helped make this event possible:

Moog Inc.
National Window and Door
Trevor Gray, Kingsview Partners
Edward Jones-Financial Advisor: Meghan Kuczmarski

Thank you, National Window and Door, for your Eagle sponsorship in our 2026 Golf Tournament! You helped us raise over $16,250 for the children of the NRV

WOW!! $16,250+ raised for NRV children programs from our June golf tournament.

This would not be possible without our generous sponsors. Moog Inc. stepped up as our event sponsor and has been a loyal sponsor for more than 20 years!

Congratulations to our Past President and member, Andrew Walker, who received the Montgomery County Distinguished Award at the Leading Lights Recognition Ceremony Thursday evening! 🏆

He is well-deserved of the recognition and it comes as no surprise to our club as he received Kiwanian of the Year a few short months ago.

Please join us for our 24th Annual Golf Tournament on June 6th at Auburn Hills.

We were honored to hear from three members of the Christmas Store board last week at our meeting. Christmas really is all year long for these elves and Montgomery County is blessed to have them!

Kiwanis is proud to support their efforts and always enjoys working in the adult section during shopping week.

Merv is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery County/Blacksburg and they asked him for an update on how the 2025 Montgomery County Christmas Store went last year.
So Merv asked Terri Lynn who does Public Relations on the Board to go and talk to his organization.
We were treated to lunch and then Meghan Kuczmarski, Past President of the club introduced us as speakers. Terri Lynn spoke about the financial standing of the Christmas Store. Vicky Ball spoke about the the new Voucher Programs and Therese told them about her work with Eligibility to go out into the community to try to reach our neighbors in need. Thank you to Kiwanis for inviting us to share our passion for the work of the Christmas Store,
Doug Butts, President of Kiwanis, poses with Terri Lynn, Therese, and Vicky.
