A reminder that the community free fridge & pantry are located at 305 Washington St SW, Blacksburg, VA, 24060, but that access is easiest from the parking lot behind the building (parking lot entrance at the corner of Clay and Harrell streets). Volunteers and community members (like you!) clean and stock the fridge & pantry. The fridge & pantry also receive donations from some local organizations and small businesses. Please contribute if you are able. Take what you need, give what you can! The Community Foundation of the New River Valley publishes the NRV Food Assistance Directory. Download the pdf to learn about different food pantries and meal programs in each county. Some require ID and proof of residency, but some you can stop by no questions asked for a one-time food box or a carryout meal. The FEC Pop-Up free store is coming up on Sunday 18 October.

Reminder that our October pop-up free store (distro) will be next Sunday October 18th from 2pm-3pm behind the North Main laundromat in Blacksburg. Essential paper products like toilet paper, paper towels, and cleaning wipes are especially popular. Interested in donating items or organizing your own donation drive? We have a small collection box out again at Eats Natural Foods if you'd like to drop off items there. You can also place donations directly in the community fridge and pantry behind UKirk Center (see our page for details). For larger donations or to organize a drive, send us a DM or an email [email protected] . Thank you!
