United Muslim Relief is a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. It is one of the fastest growing NGO’s in the United States, with a focus

on building humanitarian coalitions to tackle developmental needs. UMR was first launched by a group of students at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia who wanted to do something to help the victims of the Haitian earthquake and has now become a respected humanitarian player with an emphasis on health programs. As well as serving underprivileged communities around the world, UMR has hundreds of dedicated volunteers in the US who are dedicated to making a positive contribution to American society. Our motto “beyond relief” bares testament to our belief that we must work to empower those most in need and help them attain dignity through giving them the opportunity to lift themselves out of poverty.
