At this year's Wesley Weekend we are officially launching the Public Phase of our Capital Campaign! We’ll be sharing more details about this exciting announcement in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, we need your help and prayers. We invite you to follow this Prayer Calendar over the next six weeks as we begin this new era for Wesley.
Each week, we will focus on a different part of Wesley’s mission and community. Together, may we seek God’s guidance, trust His provision, and remember that this campaign is about far more than a building — it is about creating a space where students can continue to encounter Christ, find belonging, and grow in faith for generations to come.
Below we have provided an opening and closing prayer to start each week. Thank you so much for all the support and prayers throughout this exciting time!
Opening Prayer - Gracious and faithful God, for 80 years, You have been at work through Wesley at Virginia Tech. You have called students, formed leaders, healed hearts, and built a community where Christ is known and loved.
As we enter this next chapter, we place this capital campaign in Your hands. May this
effort not be about bricks alone, but about building a space that is accessible,
hospitable, and welcoming to every student who walks through our doors.
Align our hearts with Yours O lord. Increase our faith as we pray for Wesley and its future through the next six weeks. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Closing Prayer - Lord Jesus, we thank You for meeting us in this time of prayer each week. You are the true
foundation of Wesley, and apart from You none of this would be possible. We
entrust to You the dreams, the needs, and the future of this ministry. Provide what is needed.
May all that we build reflect Your welcome.
May all that we do point to Your love.
May the next 80 years bring You glory.
We trust You with what is ahead.
Amen.
