We are raising funds to assist the local EMS providers that are participating in the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride. For your convenience we have set up a paypal account and if you are able to help us please use the link above or see any of the riders in person. For the past five years, Blacksburg Volunteer Rescue Squad has particpated in the National Emergency Medical Services Memorial Bike Ride

. This event is a seven day memorial ride for EMS providers that have lost their lives doing what they love to do...helping others. The ride begins on May 14th in Boston, MA and over the seven days bikers from all over the world weave their way down the East Coast until they reach their destination in Alexandria, VA on May 20th. Along the route we make stops at local Rescue Squads that may have lost an individual in the line of duty. While there, we'll have a small ceremony remembering that particular individual and all the other individuals that we ride for. We need the financial help from our friends to be able to participate. This money goes to registration fees, travel fees, and any hotel costs. Any extra raised goes directly to the Fallen Angels Fund which is a scholarship fund that goes to the child or children of a individual that died in the line of duty. Any donations given will be welcomed with open arms. No matter how big or how small the donation, we will be very grateful of your generosity in the end.
