Cub Scout Pack 44 The official page for Cub Scout Pack 44, chartered by Blacksburg Presbyterian Church. Outings or other activities are planned on the first Tuesdays.

The official page for Cub Scout Pack 44, chartered since 1952 by Blacksburg Presbyterian Church in Blacksburg, VA.. During the school year, den meetings are held at the church on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Come check us out!

Just a reminder that we have a den meeting today, Tuesday January 13th from 6:30-7:30pm. It will be at Blacksburg Presbyterian Church.

We still have pinewood derby kits available and some popcorn prizes. If you have a sibling that would like to participate, please let Rob Briggs know, and he can get them a kit as well for $5/each.

OCTOBER PACK ACTIVITY

We will be visiting the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Obstacle Course on October 7th from 6-7.

Please Note:

➡️ All scouts will need to have a completed waiver which can be found in your email.

➡️ One parent should accompany their scout.

➡️ We will be meeting earlier than our normal time.

Where - BPC
When - Tuesday, September 30th from 6:30 to 7:30pm.
What - The kids will rotate through five stations Each station will be about different aspects of robotics.

🍿 This weekend is another opportunity to sell popcorn before the Saturday, September 13th Virginia Tech football game. There is currently more room for scouts to join. Details about sign up can be found in your email.

🍿This weekend, our Scouts will be selling popcorn before the Virginia Tech football game.

Each participating scout will practice talking with new people, learning real-world math and money skills, and doing their best to be friendly, courteous, and kind.

👉 If you see our Scouts out at the game, stop by, say hello, and grab some popcorn to support their adventures!

Our Scouts tackled their very first hike yesterday at Pandapas Pond. Along the trail, they stopped to see the colorful pollinator garden, pointed out lily pads across the water, and practiced the buddy system.

We also reviewed the 6 essentials for hiking:

💧 water
☀️ sun protection
🍎 trail food
🔦 flashlight
🩹 first aid kit
👍 whistle
