First den meeting of the year means the Bobcat Adventure, where Cub Scouts get to know each other and learn (or practice again) the Cub Scout oath, law, motto, sign, salute, and handshake. With this foundation, we're ready to move on to new adventures.

We're back in swing for Fall 2026. We've enjoyed two pack meetings, most recently with a nature walk on the local Huckleberry Trail.

Cub Scouts learned about types of rocks in the area from Virginia Tech Professor of Sedimentary Geochemistry and Cub Scout leader Ben Gill. They also completed a scavenger hunt about the people and nature on the trail designed by Virginia Tech Professor of Human Dimensions of Wildlife Conservation and Cub Scout leader Ashley Dayer.
