With the snowstorm and extremely cold temperatures coming, we wanted to remind all residents that winterization and maintenance of your mobile home is Resident responsibility. Pipes seem to be the main cause of catastrophic losses in the winter months, due to frozen pipe bursts, and there are steps you can take to avoid these costly issues.

Heat should remain on and always set above 55 degrees. If you suspect your home is getting too cold, turn the faucets on to a slow drip. Using the faucets frequently will also help to prevent freezing. Open kitchen and bathroom cabinets to allow heat flow around the water pipes throughout the home. We also recommend you change your furnace filter regularly for heat efficiency.

Please also ensure you have proper skirting, insulation, caulking/sealing, and any other remedies to secure heat in and keep cold air out. Properly installed heat tape underneath the home is highly encouraged.

Meadowbrook Mobile Home Park is not responsible for burst water pipes within any Home.

Be safe and stay warm!

With cold weather quickly approaching, we wanted to remind you that winterization and maintenance of your mobile home is Resident responsibility. Pipes seem to be the main cause of catastrophic losses in the winter months, due to frozen pipe bursts, and there are steps you can take to avoid these costly issues.

Heat should remain on and always set above 60 degrees. If you suspect your home is getting too cold, turn the faucets on to a slow drip. Using the faucets frequently will also help to prevent water from freezing. Open kitchen and bathroom sink-based cabinets to allow heat flow around the water pipes throughout the home. We also recommend you change your furnace filter regularly for heat efficiency.

Please make sure your home skirting is intact with no gaps, openings, holes, or breaks where cold air can get underneath the home. Upkept skirting is apart of our rules and regulations of the Park. Not only is it visibly appealing when it is kept up, but it provides a primary barrier between outside elements and your home’s water pipes. Even minor gaps can cause temperatures under your home to drop quickly.

If you are leaving the home for a long period of time, we recommend you turn your main water valve to the off position, run all faucets to drain the pipes, and leave the Heat ON and set to above 60 degrees.

Heat Tape and/or Pipe Insulation is another recommended option, but please use at your own risk and consult a professional if you have any questions.

Meadowbrook Mobile Home Park is not responsible for burst water pipes within any Home. It is Resident responsibility, so we highly recommend you are aware of the risks.

Now is the time to also ensure you have proper skirting, insulation, caulking/sealing, and any other remedies to secure heat in and keep cold air out.

Stay safe and enjoy the snow!

The offices will be closed July 3rd through 5th in observance of the July 4th holiday. We will resume normal business hours on Monday, July 8th.

A reminder that fireworks are NOT permitted within the park. Stay safe and Happy 4th of July!

A reminder to please park in the designated, gravel areas that each Lot has. It appropriately allows for two cars. There CANNOT be any parking in the grassy areas at any Lot or on any grass/common areas within the community. This is causing ruts and unnecessary mud/ground issues.

Just a friendly reminder to take the appropriate steps to avoid pipes freezing and bursting. Keep heat set at 60 or above, open cabinets to expose any pipes to allow heat to flow in and turn water faucets on to a very slow trickle if you suspect pipes are starting to freeze. Winter is especially a necessary time to verify your heat tape is working properly, to ensure your pipes are properly insulated, and to check your home's skirting. The skirting is the primary barrier between your water pipes and the outside elements so check for gaps or openings around your home. Take actions now to protect your home and avoid costly repairs due to burst pipes. Be safe and STAY WARM!
