We're taking orders for cinnamon rolls at the Bingham County Senior Citizens Center!

Cinnamon Rolls: $3.00 each
Available with or without raisins!

Order Deadline: Tuesday, October 27, at 3:00 PM

Thanksgiving is a time for gathering, giving thanks, and supporting one another. This year, why not let the Bingham County Senior Citizens Center help with some of your holiday preparations? 🥧

When you order your Thanksgiving goodies from us, you're doing more than checking something off your holiday to-do list. You're helping support the programs and services that make a difference in the lives of older adults and others throughout our community. 💙

As a privately operated nonprofit, we rely on the generosity and involvement of our community to help keep our doors open and our services available.

Whether you're hosting Thanksgiving dinner, bringing something to a family gathering, or simply treating yourself, every order is an opportunity to give back!

Happy Monday! 💙 We've got another delicious week planned at the Bingham County Senior Citizens Center!

Monday: Chicken Parmesan
Tuesday: Hamburgers
Wednesday: Chicken & Noodles over Mashed Potatoes
Thursday: Chili Cheese Dogs
Friday Breakfast: German Pancakes

🥗 Lunch: Monday–Thursday, 11:00 AM–12:30 PM, with our fresh salad bar included!

☕ Friday Breakfast: 9:00–10:30 AM

💙 Age 60+: $7 suggested donation
💙 Age 59 & younger: $9

🏐 LOOK INSIDE THE CENTER | A Little Friendly Competition!

Who says volleyball has to be played standing up? 🏐

At the Bingham County Senior Citizens Center, Chair Volleyball brings together physical activity, friendly competition, and plenty of laughter!

It’s a fun way for our participants to stay active, improve coordination, and enjoy a little friendly competition, all while building friendships and staying connected with others. 💙

Activities like Chair Volleyball are a great reminder that staying active and socially engaged is an important part of healthy aging, and having fun along the way makes it even better!

Our Center is about so much more than meals. It’s a place to make friends, try something new, share a laugh, and enjoy being part of a community. ❤️

💙 MEALS ON WHEELS WEDNESDAY | More Than a Knock at the Door!

For many of us, answering the door is just another part of our day. But for some of the homebound seniors we serve, that knock may be one of the few opportunities they have for face-to-face interaction.

That's why Meals on Wheels is about so much more than delivering a nutritious meal. ❤️

Each delivery provides an opportunity for our volunteer drivers to:

🍽️ Deliver nutrition to someone who may struggle to prepare meals independently.

❤️ Offer human connection through a friendly smile, familiar face, or brief conversation.

💙 Provide a wellness check by noticing when something may not seem quite right.

🏡 Support independence by helping older adults continue living in their own homes.

These small moments of connection can make a meaningful difference, not only for the individuals receiving meals but also for their families and loved ones.

Sometimes, the most important part of a delivery isn't what's in the bag. It's the person standing at the door. 💙

We're incredibly grateful for our Meals on Wheels volunteers who help make every delivery more than a meal!

💙 WANT TO HELP SUPPORT OUR HOMEBOUND SENIORS?

Community donations help us continue providing nutritious meals, meaningful connections, and wellness checks to those who need them.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, makes a difference!

💌 Donate by Check: Make checks payable to Bingham County Senior Citizens Center and drop them off or mail them to the Center.

Please write "Meals on Wheels" or "MOW" in the memo of your check or Venmo donation so your contribution can be designated specifically for our home-delivered meal program.

🔢 Participate in Our Fundraising Events! Supporting Meals on Wheels doesn't always mean making a direct donation. Join us for fundraising events like our Friday Night Bingo nights! It's a great opportunity to have fun, connect with your community, and support our homebound seniors at the same time.

💡 DID YOU KNOW? | Senior Centers Support Independence!

When people think about senior centers, they often think about a place to enjoy lunch, play Bingo, or visit with friends.

But did you know that senior centers play an important role in helping older adults maintain their independence and quality of life? 💙

At the Bingham County Senior Citizens Center, we offer more than just meals and activities. We provide opportunities for individuals to:

🍽️ Access nutritious, affordable meals
💪 Stay physically active through exercise and recreational activities
❤️ Build friendships and maintain social connections
📚 Learn and access helpful community resources
🤝 Stay involved through volunteering and community participation

These opportunities can make a meaningful difference in helping older adults remain active, engaged, and connected to their community.

Our goal isn't simply to provide a place for seniors to go. It's to provide opportunities that help them continue living full, active, and independent lives.

And remember, many of our activities and programs are open to the public! You don't have to be a senior to get involved.
