Hello Everyone!
Time flies when you're having fun (and even when you aren't really)! I hope you've had a good summer though. This summer seems like it has flown by and it is time to start rehearsals for our Winter Concert. I'm picking out a wide variety of music to start out with because I'm not sure how many of you will be able to come and play with us this time. I would love to have every one of you back, especially brass, woodwind and percussion players!! We'll start narrowing down the music choices at our first rehearsal based on what instruments we have so please let me know if you want to come play with us but can't make it to the first rehearsal.
We will start our rehearsals next week on Wednesday, September 10th. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Snake River Junior High music room. We'll most likely move over the High School in November but I will let you know about that later after the scheduling is confirmed.
Our concert date is tentatively set for Friday, December 12th with the dress rehearsal on December 11th but those dates are not set in stone yet. I would like your feedback before I schedule the auditorium so we'll talk about it at our first rehearsal.
I'm looking forward to making music with you again and I hope to see you next Wednesday!
