Blackfoot Community Center SMASH/AmeriCorps Students Mastering & Achieving Superior Heights is what we do.

We are an after school program that strives to assist kids with homework and help them build life skills through fun activities.

During the year, classes collected food for the Food Pantry. Sarah and Rachel unload it.

Summer camp was so much fun, it's too bad it had to end! We didn't do nearly enough reading or math--so 20 minutes a day of reading from now until school starts is your challenge! Check in with your adult leaders every once in a while. You are important to us!

Hey vendors: We have a lot of space available. All we ask is that you have an active game for ages 5-adult to go with your assigned area as the theme is "active play fights childhood obesity".
We are putting booths around the shelter and between the parking lot and ball-fields. No reservations, so it is on a first come, first serve basis. The fun run is the first event and it starts at the shelter. The kickball tournament goes from 1-6. We have a stage from the fairgrounds and live music through the day. Please come before ten o'clock to set up. We will be there at 8 AM.

The Morning News published a great article in the Bingham County magazine about us. I found out yesterday that following Summer Camp from 3-5 PM we will be running a computer lab and providing tutors for those in the "8 in 6 Program". (Starting as soon as Idaho students complete sixth grade, they can enroll in the program and by the end of high school, they have not only a high school degree, but also have two years of college.) This is a real money saver for families. Pick up enrollment forms from our new center at 1350 Parkway Drive, next to O'Riley's Auto Parts.

We still need kick-ball teams! The rules are simple and fun.
