💡 Crisis Energy Assistance is Available!

Are you behind on your electricity or heating bill and at risk of having your services disconnected?

Community Council of Idaho is accepting applications for Crisis Energy Assistance to help eligible households avoid utility disconnection or restore services.

📄 What is a shutoff notice?

A shutoff notice is a warning from your utility company stating that your service will be disconnected if payment is not made by a certain date.

Please note: Having a past-due bill does not automatically mean you have a shutoff notice.

If you have received a shutoff notice or your services have already been disconnected, you may qualify for assistance!

Assistance depends on household eligibility and available funding.

Importante: Tener un recibo vencido no significa automáticamente que tenga un aviso de desconexión.

Si recibió un aviso de desconexión o ya le cortaron sus servicios, ¡podría calificar para recibir ayuda!

Phlebotomy Training Opportunity in American Falls

ISU is offering a Phlebotomy class in American Falls for individuals ages 16 and older. The class runs from August 24 through December 19.

Class Schedule:

Every Monday: 6:00–9:00 PM
Every other Saturday: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM

The NFJP program may be able to cover the entire cost of the class, including tuition, books, supplies, testing fees, and other required training expenses.

Major eligibility requirements:

Must be a farmworker or dependent of a farmworker within the last 12–24 months
Must meet federal income guidelines
Must be 16 years or older
Additional eligibility requirements may apply

This is a great opportunity to gain healthcare training and take the next step toward a career as a Phlebotomist.

ISU ofrecerá una clase de Flebotomía en American Falls para personas de 16 años en adelante. La clase se llevará a cabo del 24 de agosto al 19 de diciembre.

Horario de clases:

Todos los lunes: 6:00–9:00 p. m.
Cada dos sábados: 9:00 a. m.–12:00 p. m.

El programa NFJP podría cubrir el costo completo de la clase, incluyendo matrícula, libros, materiales, costos de exámenes y otros gastos requeridos para la capacitación.

Requisitos principales de elegibilidad:

Debe ser trabajador agrícola o dependiente de un trabajador agrícola durante los últimos 12–24 meses
Debe cumplir con las pautas federales de ingresos
Debe tener 16 años o más
