January 31st 1919 Mr.Jackie Robinson was born in Cairo Georgia.He went on to become one of the greatest athletes and humanitarians in American history.

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Jackie Robinson, a baseball legend whose courage reshaped the sport and the country. When Robinson broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier, he did it with strength, discipline and a vision for the future.

In 1947, he became the first Black player in the modern era of Major League Baseball, enduring immense hostility while opening the door for generations to follow.

We’re grateful for the doors he opened and the legacy that continues to inspire generations.

The Black Rock Foundation’s mission statement is…
“Changing lives through Faith,Education and Basketball”.
The story below about Mr.Adamolekun is a testament to the importance that education,faith and hard work can make in your life.

Damola Adamolekun is the new CEO of Red Lobster and he's 36 years old. In May 2024, the restaurant chain went through bankruptcy and had to close a lot of locations because it had over $1 billion in debts. By September 2024, the company came out of bankruptcy and had a fresh start under his leadership and new ownership.

Even though the challenge was difficult, Damola wasn't afraid. He brought the same energy that helped him lead P.F. Chang's. He’s doing everything he can at Red Lobster to make the brand shine again. Damola is focusing on better food, friendlier service and just overall better restaurants.

Damola started his career with an internship at Goldman Sachs in 2008. He studied economics at Brown University and he later attended Harvard Business School.
He said, "There are people who are born and raised to do this, and they're taught at a young age. I didn’t come from that world. I was teaching myself in high school and college. You have to become the person you need to be."
