The INTO LIGHT Project

The INTO LIGHT Project We educate the community about addiction as a disease.

The INTO LIGHT Project fights the stigma of drug addiction by organizing public exhibitions featuring portraits of those lost to addiction, paired with narratives to learn about their lives.

We’re proud to share that INTO LIGHT artist Clayton Conner was awarded an artist-in-residence opportunity in Italy.

Clayton’s portrait work with INTO LIGHT is only one facet of a much wider artistic practice. Like many of our artists, he is a versatile and evolving creator whose work spans ideas, mediums, and experiences beyond his contributions to INTO LIGHT.

We’re excited to celebrate this chapter in Clayton’s artistic journey and his growing international recognition.

You can follow him and see more of his artwork, which includes large murals, on Instagram

We’re grateful to see Jessica Duggan’s artwork on display at LoDo Studios as part of the INTO LIGHT Project’s Continuing the Conversation exhibition hosted by District216 in Santa Barbara.

Jessica’s mother, Bernadette Brierley, has become an important part of the INTO LIGHT family through her ongoing support, advocacy, and service as a member of our Board of Trustees. We are deeply thankful for all she has done in loving remembrance of Jessica and in support of the project’s mission.

Jessica’s artwork is available for purchase at LoDo Studios and online at https://saje94.square.site/. All net proceeds benefit the INTO LIGHT Project.

We’re also looking forward to Bernadette and INTO LIGHT artist Elizabeth Jones presenting at LoDo Studios as part of this meaningful community conversation. This event is hosted by District216 and will take place tomorrow on Wednesday, May 13!

Today, on Bereaved Mother’s Day, we hold space for the mothers who carry the loss of a child.

Within the INTO LIGHT Project, we have come to know so many of these mothers, women who have shared their children’s stories with courage, love, and deep generosity. Through their willingness to remember and to speak their children’s names, they help create understanding, compassion, and connection for others.

We hold close all mothers who are carrying loss today, recognizing the enduring bond between a mother and her child. 💛

We’re proud to highlight Jeremy Hebbel, one of the talented artists contributing portraits to the INTO LIGHT Project. Jeremy studied at the Delaware College of Art and Design and brings both technical skill and deep empathy to the work he creates.

An entrepreneur, dog lover, and very proud husband and stay-at-home dad, Jeremy shares a personal connection to the mission of INTO LIGHT. As an individual in recovery who has also lost dear friends and loved ones to addiction, the project holds special meaning for him. Jeremy has said that working on these portraits feels both heavy and deeply important, and he is grateful for the opportunity to help provide families with a portrait to remember their loved ones.

We’re thankful for the care and compassion Jeremy brings to this work.
