Black Mountain Montessori implements a child-centered learning approach by creating an environment where children feel secure, supported, and stimulated. Our elementary class had so much fun volunteering at Animal Haven of Asheville today! They cleaned up the property by picking up sticks and black walnuts, then had a tour of the grounds and the opportunity to spend time with goats and pigs.

Scrubbing a pumpkin, but… make it more exciting with a baster for rinsing! 🎃😂 These class pumpkins will soon be shifting into pumpkin hammering, carving, parts of the pumpkin language, sensory exploration, and probably some cinnamon roasted pumpkin seeds, too!
