Jamaica Relief & Rebuild Update 🇯🇲
Aslan Walkon, a GAP team member, is on the ground supporting ongoing recovery efforts.
1/13 | Kingston Port: Cleared customs at the shipping warehouse at 12:25 PM and delivered critical tool supplies, including chainsaws, generators, PPE, water filters, tarps, and more, to Operation Blessing in Montego Bay.
1/14 | Negril: Delivered supplies to Twin Palms Foundation HQ (Check out their Instagram for more info on their projects), who then helped GAP continue on to Savannah La Mar and Belmont, supporting deliveries, coordination, and hands-on rebuild work alongside local partners.
Twin Palms Foundation took on a rebuild for an elderly woman in her early 90s. With demolition already complete, the ridge was set, and rafters began to be installed. This community still has no electricity or clean water and has received zero government assistance. Before work began, water filters were distributed, and a demo was shared.
Today’s build continued in Belmont, where Hurricane Melissa made its exit after tearing across the island, beginning in Black River and leaving devastation in its wake.
In Savannah La Mar, GAP visited one of the schools Twin Palms supports and spoke with a teacher who refuses to give up, despite receiving no government help.
More updates to follow. Special thanks to all our partners and collaborators who contributed goods and donations in getting these crucial supplies out to the communities: Valley Hope Foundation, SAS Water Filters, Plenty International, A Hand from Above, Operation Blessing, and the Asheville community.
Deep gratitude to Twin Palms Foundation, an incredible husband-and-wife team, and to Operation Blessing for making these deliveries and rebuilds possible.

Onward, together~
