We are so so proud to announce a partnership with Divine Disaster Relief to help these sisters purchase a new home!!

**VSDR will be donating $75,000 because of all of YOU!!**

Their new home closes at the end of this month, and they will finally have a safe, fresh start.

Make sure you read their storm story!
It’s insane.

You guys have to know who, and how much you are still helping the people recover in this area!

JUNE RECAP!

June had a few new projects, and continuation of some ongoing ones!

•We are still at it with our large rebuild for our set of sisters whose home was heavily damaged from a tree falling through it during Helene.
This project will take a few more months to complete, but every single day is one step closer.

•We were fortunate enough to step in and help a local mom who also had severe damage to her property during Helene.
She is unfortunately currently putting up a fight against cancer on top of all she’s been through. We were happy to be able to assist her in obtaining some much needed legal support for her current situation, while also providing enough funds to help her secure future home ownership in the home she loves.

•PICTURED**
Another local family came to us with a special request. They had extensive damage to their home during Helene and it was finally their turn for Samaritans Purse to come in and rebuild. Unfortunately due to the amount of work needing to be completed, they were unable to live in the home during rebuild.
This is a family of 7 who needed a place to live in the meantime. In the past we have purchased hotel rooms for situations like this, but with this many family members and kiddos + their sweet dog, we needed to improvise.
We are so grateful to have found and been able to provide the perfect rental for them to feel right at home in during the several weeks it took for repairs to be complete.

Excited to say, that they officially moved back in to their “new” home, last week!
It’s so good to see people become whole again.

As you can see, we are still here almost 2 years later, chipping away.

•June also included $39,758.27 paid out just in land management/repair/prep for several local properties.

Rebuild can feel slow.
But we’re incredibly thankful for the opportunity to keep going at it week after week.

So so proud of this project!

stepped in and were a dream to partner with.

They build these homes in their warehouse and their origination story is something special.

This was a long process of more land management than you could ever imagine.

Then the fun part of picking out everything to go inside.

A bittersweet ending to a well deserved home, all finished up.

Thanks to our local new station for coming out to our volunteer/dedication day.

After more than a year and a half spent living in the aftermath of what Helene took from him, one Marine Corps veteran has finally stepped into his new home.

If anyone needs me, I’m gonna be with my new best friend Ms. Brown from now until forever.

When I tell y’all that she is the brightest ray of actual sunshine, I can’t say it loud enough.

Another organization beat us to her rebuild after Helene, which we will never complain about!
Now that she is moving in, we got the pleasure of picking out some new furniture and household items for her new home.
It’s gorgeous!

This quilt was hand made with love specifically for a Helene survivor, and it made its way to the perfect recipient.

She is the most deserving of all things good.

It was a great day in the valley doing little things that mean so much.

Hey Valley Strong!

A few updates:

•Our veteran rebuild ceremony is in a couple of weeks, and we are so excited!
Home Depot is coming out to do some landscaping, and our partners on this project, Purple Heart Homes will be there too!
This one was special, and we have loved every minute of giving this fresh start.
I have personally loved getting to order things and set up this space. It’s been my favorite part.

•Renew NC built a brand new home for a hurricane survivor just around the block from us.
We have been able to swoop in and order some much needed furniture and things to finish up the space for one of the sweetest ladies ever.

•Our current big rebuild project is set to begin in 2 weeks!
A tree fell through a home during Helene, and has been tarped up ever since.
This is a major job.
These ladies are still living here, and we are so ready to get through all the prep and get started.
It will be several months to get to through this one.

We have several other projects we will be hopping in on. One including a new well for a Helene property. Another containing lots of land management repair from land slides affecting 3 homes.

Just when you feel like there can’t be anyone left out there needing help like this a year and half later, there always is.
It is amazing how it does feel like God has always led us to the exact people we need to be stepping up for.

As always, we are so thankful for all of you!
We cannot keep doing any of this, without your support.

We have been so blessed to continue to keep passing these blessings
on, and giving new life to what has been taken.

A BIG DAY!

Power is on at our local veteran build, and this gem of a gentleman is there after hours making sure his AC is crispy!
