So so proud of this project!

stepped in and were a dream to partner with.

They build these homes in their warehouse and their origination story is something special.

This was a long process of more land management than you could ever imagine.
Shout out

Then the fun part of picking out everything to go inside.

A bittersweet ending to a well deserved home, all finished up.

As always, because of you!!

Thanks to our local new station for coming out to our volunteer/dedication day.

After more than a year and a half spent living in the aftermath of what Helene took from him, one Marine Corps veteran has finally stepped into his new home.

If anyone needs me, I’m gonna be with my new best friend Ms. Brown from now until forever.

When I tell y’all that she is the brightest ray of actual sunshine, I can’t say it loud enough.

Another organization beat us to her rebuild after Helene, which we will never complain about!
Now that she is moving in, we got the pleasure of picking out some new furniture and household items for her new home.
It’s gorgeous!

This quilt was hand made with love specifically for a Helene survivor, and it made its way to the perfect recipient.

She is the most deserving of all things good.

It was a great day in the valley doing little things that mean so much.

We love y’all!!🤍

Hey Valley Strong!

A few updates:

•Our veteran rebuild ceremony is in a couple of weeks, and we are so excited!
Home Depot is coming out to do some landscaping, and our partners on this project, Purple Heart Homes will be there too!
This one was special, and we have loved every minute of giving this fresh start.
I have personally loved getting to order things and set up this space. It’s been my favorite part.

•Renew NC built a brand new home for a hurricane survivor just around the block from us.
We have been able to swoop in and order some much needed furniture and things to finish up the space for one of the sweetest ladies ever.

•Our current big rebuild project is set to begin in 2 weeks!
A tree fell through a home during Helene, and has been tarped up ever since.
This is a major job.
These ladies are still living here, and we are so ready to get through all the prep and get started.
It will be several months to get to through this one.

We have several other projects we will be hopping in on. One including a new well for a Helene property. Another containing lots of land management repair from land slides affecting 3 homes.

Just when you feel like there can’t be anyone left out there needing help like this a year and half later, there always is.
It is amazing how it does feel like God has always led us to the exact people we need to be stepping up for.

As always, we are so thankful for all of you!
We cannot keep doing any of this, without your support.

We have been so blessed to continue to keep passing these blessings
on, and giving new life to what has been taken.

We love you guys!

A BIG DAY!

Power is on at our local veteran build, and this gem of a gentleman is there after hours making sure his AC is crispy!
It is.

Shout out (pictured)
and Micks Home Services for installing this mini split so quickly, and making sure it’s doing what it should be.

A Purple Heart marine who wagered a lot to defend our nation. (Not pictured)
A tree crushed his house during Helene on 9/27/24.

He’s inches away from a new start, and freedom.

Today, is a good day. 🤍

Thanks to YOU!

Quick update!
Over 1 MILLION dollars from YOU has been put back into this small community!

That blows our minds.
We are forever grateful.

Demolition of someone’s home is always a bittersweet day.
More bitter for some.
This property has been deemed no longer habitable, so there is no future of rebuild here.

A lot of our families choose to stay private and we always respect that. That’s why you don’t always see posts from us on every project. Privacy is sometimes all that’s left. We’re not going to force sharing things that people do not want to relive again and again. We may not get to show you guys every little detail, but we are here working to bring life back to our community, every single day.

A year and a half after Helene, we’re still in a cycle of remove, and rebuild.

This sweet couple experienced incredible trauma here in September of 2024.

They can’t bear to even look at the area which was once was their home.
We stepped in to take that off of their plates so that they don’t have to deal with it.

There is no future for them at this location, but there will be a fresh future for them somewhere else.

We are thankful to be able to provide the full closure needed here.
And we do all of this because you guys have allowed us to.

Thank you for everyone who continues to send love our way, and continues to support the rebuilds of our area. 🤍

We still read & cherish every single card and sweet letter that is sent.

It is the most remarkable experience to have letters still coming to our community from people all over.
Just to let us know they still care.
Still want to support the families who lost it all, but thank God survived.
Still want to pray, and lift us up.

Every “Hello from Wisconsin” and every card that I already recognize from the “regulars” is a treasure to all of us.

Thank you ALL!🤍

We’re almost through February, and we’re still going strong!

After the first 2 months of the year, we have (you have) given back $118,791.78
to this community!!

That feels good!!

We have finished out the Flat Creek Farm land reconstruction.

We have 1 more installment on Ms. Didi’s reconstruction, and she should be built back better than before.
Last few landscaping tasks and new fence for her sweet German shepherd, Hudson.
I’m gonna visit her soon and I’ll snag a selfie of us back on her beloved new deck. 🤍

Our final contribution to our single dad rebuilding after Helene has been completed!

One of our Craigtown families is inching closer to renewing their property and new home. (Home not being provided by us). But we have been honored to help with a few thing along the way. Most recently with the materials needed for their new driveway. There are so so many steps to these projects that I never would have thought of prior to being in the relief field, and they are ALL expensive.
It feels amazing to take some of these expenses away from those who have already lost, and given so much.

Our current main focus is our local veterans home. We have a whole dedicated video coming, but we want to show you guys when it’s 100% finished with the deck!
It is BEAUTIFUL.
Purple Heart Homes delivered this tiny home last week, and we are in love.
We have a few more weeks of final touches and it’ll be another welcome home situation!!
They have been a dream to collab with, and we all cried on delivery day.

As always, we thank each of you for your support!
Whether it’s loving a post and sending encouraging words, or cards in the mail, or giving $1, or $5000.
It doesn’t matter.
You are appreciated more than you could ever know!

We love y’all 🤍

Really, this should say This Month @ VSDR, but let’s not get lost in the details. 🤣

It’s a SUPER exciting week!

First, for year 2026 thus far, we have given a total of $71,276.10 in funding to help those right here in the Valley area!
Wow.
It’s been a busy month, and we love every minute of it.

Secondly, this Thursday we will be welcoming our local veterans tiny home, to its new home here in the mountains!

This project was a collab with Purple Heart Homes and I cannot explain how much this has meant to us.
We are so honored to have been a part of this experience and would do it many times over!

We have many projects gearing up that we are excited to talk about!

As we always say, you all did this.
Without your thoughts, prayers, and support, we are nothing.

A huge heartfelt thank you from all 6 of us here at Valley Strong.
We love y’all!🤍
