Black Mountain Center for the Arts

Black Mountain Center for the Arts We are a nonprofit community arts center located in Black Mountain's old City Hall building. We also offer workshops and summer camps.

Located in the beautifully renovated Old City Hall since 2000, the Black Mountain Center for the Arts offers public Exhibits, Concerts, Theatre, Festivals, Special Events and a myriad of classes for all ages in music, dance, visual arts, writing, and more. We have a separate building for our Clay Studio with classes and independent study opportunities (including a handicap accessible potters wheel

). The main building is in the heart of the historic district, right next to the history museum. Our facility is nearly 100 years old, and is a wonderful site to visit as an historic landmark as well!

Right now, the floor of our dance studio is vibrating with a completely different kind of energy. We are officially rolling up the marley, disassembling the barres, and building pedestals to transform our everyday movement space into a second beautiful gallery!
It takes a lot of heavy lifting behind the scenes to get ready for the floral designers to load in on Thursday, the 18th. We love the "messy" middle of the process because it reminds us how much love our community pours into making Art in Bloom happen every year.
Drop a 🌸 in the comments if you’re planning to join us for Art in Bloom! Who are you bringing along to experience the transformation with you?
