Thanks to YOU, we met the $75,000 Match! In total, as of today, the Blue Ridge Leaders’ School Family donated $80,570.16. We will be able to serve more teens in Thrailkill Auditorium this summer because of your generosity.

New carpet and fresh paint, along with other repairs in Thrailkill Auditorium will be a welcome site for youth and teens this summer and will continue to be a beautiful tribute to Tom and Pat Thrailkill. We can’t wait to see every seat filled in July!

The successes of this challenge go beyond the four walls of Thrailkill Auditorium. As we know from our School Achievement nights - reaching goals takes determination, tons of extra effort and shouts of encouragement. We are so appreciative of the individuals who stepped up and made calls and reconnected with alumni to make this challenge possible. From young alumni just starting out on their philanthropy journey to seasoned givers who have supported us for many years, you inspire us.

Thank you again for your support. We are beyond grateful for each and every one of you!

Wow! This week has been simply amazing!

The 2023 HLs remind us again of legacy. We can almost hear their theme song!

Over the last couple weeks we have loved sharing heartfelt stories from so many amazing Leaders and the impact that Blue Ridge has had on their lives. We have highlighted current Leaders as well as Alumni who call this Mountain home! Can you imagine how many Leaders have been on the Mountain since 1922 when the School began?

Our friend Shelley first came to the Mountain as a teen and has returned as an Advisor to share the Magic with the next generation of Leaders. She took a moment to share why she thinks YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly is a special place.

"One of the most magical aspects of YMCA Blue Ridge is the community. It’s a place where teens are fully accepted for who they are. A place where they can show up as their most genuine, authentic selves without fear of judgment. In that kind of welcoming and inclusive environment, they’re able to fully embrace the leadership development and life lessons offered on the mountain. Learning and growing together fosters deep connections, and Blue Ridge friends truly become friends for a lifetime."

She can see the impact first hand and knows the importance of expanding our housing to welcome even more teens in 2026!
