Well, we dropped the ball on this one! 🫣

Last week, we accidentally left a very special event out of our Chamber newsletter. And when we make a mistake, we believe in admitting it and doing what we can to make it right!

Especially when the event is celebrating its **25TH ANNIVERSARY!** 🎉🐾

The 25th Annual HOWL-O-WEEN Pet Parade and Costume Contest is coming to Black Mountain Town Square on Saturday, October 31!

For 25 years, this event has brought together pets, people, costumes, and plenty of laughter. That's something worth celebrating, and we certainly don't want anyone to miss it!

🐾 **Saturday, October 31**
🎃 **1:00–3:00 PM**
📍 **Black Mountain Town Square**

The pet parade is FREE, and the costume contest is just $8 to enter, with a portion benefiting a local animal rescue organization.

A big thank-you to Boneafide Pet Boutique, Visions of Creation, and Auntie M Pet Care for keeping this wonderful tradition going!

This local legend went on his first date with his wife to her prom at Montreat High School, and some 65 years later went to a prom event in Montreat where they were crowned prom king and queen! (This isn't them, but it probably looked a lot like this!)
