Let’s talk about an amazing educator who lights up any room when she’s in it!When Bixby 9th Grade Center English teacher & 2019 District Teacher of the Year, Jennifer Phenicie, was asked why she supports BEEF, here is what she had to say….!
I support BEEF because I see the value of what they add to Bixby. They provide support that many teachers need to make magic happen by funding the extras that create memories students will carry with them for life! We got a grant this past school year that helped the English department put on reproductions of Romeo & Juliet. The students were so creative & were having so much fun! They just got to be kids! I also truly love the BEEF scholarship program. It helps so many of my amazing kids that represent the best of being a Bixby Spartan!!
Jennifer is loved and admired by her students, peers & parents. She is such a positive influence on everyone around her! This coming school year will be her thirteenth year teaching at Bixby and her twentieth year as an educator!! That’s pretty amazing! Jennifer said that she quickly saw the benefit of BEEF and joined just a year after starting her teaching career at Bixby!

At the recent robotics banquet, Traeton Dansby(lead robotics instructor) presented Michele Walker(BEEF President) & Jayne Bowen(committee member) with plaques thanking BEEF for our continued support of the outstanding robotics program at Bixby public schools.
BPS is an outstanding district & just gets better each year.

Bixby Middle School is a hub of activity with so many amazing teachers & students.
The BEEF Prize Patrol awarded grants to these educators…Charlize Evans, Kristie Coggins, Rachel Cosby & Simon MacFarlane. We were also lucky enough to witness a Hover craft flying through an obstacle course.
