Heavens Helpers Soup Cafe We opened in March 2009 in the old "Hawk's Pit-Stop, then relocated to our current location on January 8, 2018. Guests are seated and served with dignity.

We love God wholeheartedly and seek to love our neighbors as ourselves. We do not simply ask, “What Would Je

sus Do?”—we strive to do what Jesus did. Our love is expressed through prayer, practical service, and compassionate presence. It is not by our strength, but Christ working through us. From this mission, the Soup Café opened in March 2009 in a former gas station in Bismarck. Even before we knew we would open a soup kitchen, a group of high school students felt led to pray over that very building, believing God would do something significant there. Months later, it became the home of the Soup Café. The Soup Café operates like a restaurant rather than a traditional soup kitchen. We provide homemade soups, sandwiches, dessert, and coffee—free of charge. Anyone may eat as much as needed, provided food is not wasted. We serve the homeless, working poor, elderly, individuals with disabilities, and anyone in need of a warm meal and encouragement. Everything is freely given, including food, bread, Bibles, and Christian books. We receive no government funding. A freewill offering box is available, but we rely entirely on God’s provision—and He has faithfully supplied our need since the beginning. Beyond physical nourishment, we provide daily prayer, biblical counsel, and fellowship. Bible studies are offered throughout the week. For many, the Soup Café serves as a bridge to faith—an environment where people who might never enter a traditional church can encounter Jesus through both His Word and His love in action.

Bryan Thomas’s family had his 2nd heavenly birthday party at the Soup Cafe, where the family worked the entire day to serve others.

Bryan first came to the Soup Cafe in 2010 for the men’s Bible studies and loved volunteering. His family wanted to honor his memory by serving the community on this difficult day.
