Thank you to American Legion Loyd Spetz Post 1 for their generous $50,000 donation to the Military Museum. This incredible gift comes in response to the Veteran of Foreign Wars’ challenge to all veteran service organizations to support the Museum. Your commitment helps preserve our shared military history, and we are truly grateful.

If you are looking for a place to donate before the end of the year, consider the North Dakota Military Gallery.

The North Dakota National Guard Foundation is leading the private fundraising effort for the North Dakota Military Gallery, a public‑private partnership. During the 69th Legislative Session, the state legislature and the Governor approved the public portion of the $78 million project—approximately $39.2 million. The remaining $39 million will come from corporate, organizational, and private donors.

The gallery will be added to the existing North Dakota Heritage Center and State Museum on the Capitol grounds in Bismarck. Designed as a world‑class facility, it will feature exhibits and experiences representing all branches of the United States Armed Forces. Its mission is to preserve and honor North Dakota’s rich military history, from early Americans before statehood to the present day.
