It is that time of the year when we ask for help with our Directory. Each year, we start from scratch. We ask the community what they need. And then from that, we create a new sign-up form and have everyone fill it out again. We do this to assure our directory never becomes stale or lists resources that stopped existing years ago.

Even if you don't have a suggestion, take some time to look over everything and share out this resource to the people who need it!

‼️IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ‼️
QSpace will not be holding meetings until June of 2026. If you need anything between now and June, please message us as our DM’s are still open. Rhythm Records is also still a safe space to hang out, and you’re welcome to do so during store hours(Tuesday-Saturday 12pm-6pm)!

Join us with our fun December meeting! We will have games and snacks at the ready along with a planned art activity. Swing in to the holiday season in a safe space to express some cheer, see others express their cheer, or just talk if you need to.

As we wrap up this week, we find it important to highlight the days that we passed. This week brought Trans Awareness Week and Trans Day of Remembrance. Though we are making this post a day late, it is never too late to remember.

Trans Day of Remembrance forces us to recognize harsh realities. The names listed above are those of various trans people who lost their lives during 2025. Trans hate remains an issue that is not passive.

While the day is inherently somber, the action of remembrance is often the motivation for positive action.

At QSpace, our goal remains to create a space and larger community that is safer, more supportive, and accessible for all. We cannot do this without knowledge of the issues our community continues to face.

For now, we recognize, we honor, and we remember. Next, we convene, we rebuild, and we create and enhance our community.

🌈Another November Meeting Reminder!🏳️‍⚧️

Our Friendsgiving celebration will be centered around the celebration of our community and enhanced with an indigenous art activity prepared by Sacred Pipe Resource Center (Thanks guys).

In addition, with the current climate, approach of a holiday that tends to focus on food, and concerns surrounding SNAP/EBT benefits, we will be sending members home with pantry booster packs that have a few food essentials.

Also! We plan to only have this meeting in November, and we will only have one meeting in December. During the winter season, most of our members and our facilitators become busy (whether it be with holidays and family or other various winter events). To accommodate this, we decided to meet the 2nd Wednesdays of each month and return to the twice a month meeting schedule in January.

Join us in a Friendsgiving celebration on the second Wednesday in November. We will have snacks and treats, conversation at the ready, and an indigenous art activity to participate with.

🍴🍗In addition: we will have pantry packs with extra treats/food to take home with you.

-In November and December we will only meet on the 2nd Wednesdays (only one meeting each month).
-We are likely moving our meetings to the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month starting in January, but wait for the official announcement.

‼️There will be no October QSpace meetings ‼️

After a brief discussion about the busy-ness of life, our facilitators decided it was best to take the month of October off so that we can be ready and energetic in the coming months.

We will, however, take this month to gather some information to make QSpace the best that it can be and to plan for some fun festivities as we approach the winter months.

It is our goal to always provide a safe space and a community for the youth that need it. With this, we will continue to post about other age-inclusive and community-building events that we know of throughout this month. Be on the lookout for those!

Also, if you have suggestions about how QSpace looks in the future, be on the lookout for some upcoming surveys seeking input!
