What a blessing it was to celebrate one year of Stepping Stone Medical Respite with so many people who have helped make this mission possible.

Over the past year, we have provided a safe place to heal for 38 residents, and 24 have moved on to stable housing. Behind every number is a person with a story, a journey, and a renewed opportunity for a healthier future.

We are deeply grateful to the Bismarck-Mandan community for embracing this mission and walking alongside us. Your support has made a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.

Thank you to everyone who attended our anniversary celebration and to everyone who continues to support Stepping Stone Medical Respite. Together, we are bringing healing, hope, and dignity to our neighbors in need.

Yesterday, we had University of Mary students here helping us clean our facility in preparation for our 1-year anniversary celebration!
Thank you to the students who came to serve. We appreciate you and all of your hard work!

We are honored to have been nominated for the Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC Celebrate  Bismarck-Mandan Community Bridge Award!

This award goes to a nonprofit that has made significant impact in the local community through their dedication and service.

To be part of this list is something we could only dream of! Every organization nominated has done such powerful things for the Bismarck/ Mandan Community!

We could not do this mission without our amazing supportive community! This recognition is not for our staff but for everyone who has donated, volunteered their time, and supported our organization.

We just wanted to send a friendly reminder that our mailing address has changed. We no longer have a PO Box as we can receive mail at our facility address now! Our mailing address is the same as our facility address

We have had multiple people who have mailed in donations and had them returned because post office is sometimes not forwarding our mail. Please make sure the address is correct so that doesn’t happen to you.

We have two new residents at SSMR today! 🐰 Three little baby bunnies have made a home in our tomato garden! We hope they find all the rest and healing they need while they stay with us.

Once again our giving community steps up to support our residents! Thank you Megan for your generosity in giving us this keyboard piano. As you can see, it got a lot of use this weekend and made our resident Tanner very happy!

Volunteer drivers are needed in our community!
Thank you KFYR-TV for highlighting our need for volunteer drivers to help transport our residents to and from their medical appointments.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer driver here are the things you should know!

1. You drive our company vehicles.
2. This is an as available position. Every week we send a list of appointments to our approved drivers, and you pick up the "shifts" as you are available.
3. You do not go into the appointments with the resident.
4. This is the type of small thing that CHANGES LIVES! Getting people to follow-up medical appointments after hospital stays can be the deciding factor between healing or getting sicker. Our volunteers are heroes!

Sr. Idelle Badt noticed that when people who are homeless are discharged from hospitals, "they're going to end up right back in the hospital or sicker than they were because they're still too ill to recover on the street."
