A couple of lives were made a little clearer—literally—thanks to the generosity of the free eye clinic at Ministry on the Margins.
Mike had been getting by with a pair of glasses that weren’t even his, missing one of the nose pieces, while Jorgen hadn’t had an updated pair in many years. Today, that all changed.
Both Mike and Jorgen are now seeing the world through brand new glasses—complete with bifocals—restoring not just their vision, but a sense of dignity and comfort in their daily lives.
In the photo, you’ll see Mike and Jorgen alongside Raquel from Ministry on the Margins, who personally delivered their new glasses. It’s moments like these that remind us how much a simple act of care can mean.
Thank you to everyone who makes this kind of impact possible.

For the past 7 months, we’ve seen firsthand that healing happens best in a place where people feel safe, valued, and supported.
At Stepping Stones Medical Respite, we walk alongside individuals as they recover, regain strength, and move forward with hope.
Whether you give, volunteer, or simply help spread the word, thank you for being part of this important work.

One of our residents at Stepping Stone Medical Respite has a great love for gardening and watching things grow. Part of his his healing journey has been caring for some seedlings. 🌱

Today he spent some time moving the seedlings from their starter space to pots. Eventually many of them will be planted in a garden to grow food for our residents!
