💙 The power of community never ceases to amaze us.

Earlier this spring, our Executive Director, Kelsey Zottnick, had the opportunity to share the mission of Tracy’s Sanctuary House at the March BisMan Power of 100 meeting. During her presentation, she spoke about some of the needs at our home, including the need to update all our older two-prong outlets to three-prong outlets.

While it may seem like a small project, it has a big impact. Many of the families who stay at Tracy’s Sanctuary House are caring for loved ones with serious medical needs and often need to plug in medical equipment during their stay. Having safe, accessible outlets throughout the house helps us better serve those families during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Shortly after that presentation, we received a call from Oztech Electric. They had heard about our need and stepped forward to help.

We are incredibly grateful for Oztech Electric’s generosity and willingness to invest in our mission. Their support helps ensure our guests have a safe, comfortable place to stay while focusing on what matters most, the health and well-being of their loved ones.

Did you know Tracy’s Sanctuary House also helps families traveling to Bismarck for ongoing dialysis treatments?

For many families across rural North Dakota, dialysis means long days, difficult travel, unpredictable weather, and time away from home. Tracy’s Sanctuary House can provide a comfortable, affordable place to stay close to medical care so families can focus on what matters most.

Sometimes it’s not just one overnight stay, it’s multiple trips, weeks of treatments, and the emotional toll that comes with it all. We are honored to offer a home away from home during some of life’s hardest seasons. 🤍

Because healing should never come with the added stress of wondering where you’ll sleep.

Some stories stay with you forever. ❤️

Recently, a family from western North Dakota stayed with us after the wife suffered a heart attack and needed emergency surgery. She was ambulanced to Bismarck just in time.

Her husband stayed at Tracy’s Sanctuary House for the week while she recovered. Far from home and carrying the weight of so much uncertainty, he shared how grateful he was to have a place close to the hospital where he could simply rest.

But during check-in, once he realized he had a safe, peaceful place to stay close to the hospital, the emotions hit him. He broke down in tears, sharing how grateful he was to simply have somewhere to rest during one of the hardest moments of their lives.

This is why Tracy’s Sanctuary House exists. To be a home away from home for families facing medical emergencies, unexpected trauma, and difficult days no one can fully prepare for.

So grateful to have been part of Scheels Ladies Night! 💖 Over 500 women showed up for an evening of exclusive shopping and amazing deals, and we were honored to be the recipients of the proceeds. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our mission!

There are so many stories that walk through our doors at Tracy’s Sanctuary House… and this one is extra special ☕️

Over the past few months, we’ve had the privilege of hosting a guest who has been traveling back and forth for cancer treatments and surgeries. In the middle of the hard days, the unknowns, and the long appointments… they found a little piece of comfort right here in our community.

A local coffee shops coffee beans became a favorite after being gifted a bag for their help with a testimonial.

So when they left to go back home after their surgery, we wanted give them something special.

With the help of our friend Nolan, we surprised them with their favorite—yes, even a 5lb bag—so they didn’t have to worry about finding it while focusing on what really matters: healing.

It’s the little things. The familiar things. The reminders that you’re not alone.

This is what Tracy’s Sanctuary House is all about 🤍 A place to land. A place to be cared for. A place where community shows up in the most meaningful ways.

Some seasons at Tracy’s Sanctuary House are quiet… and some remind us exactly why this home matters so much.

Right now, we have a few guests coming and going, each on their own medical journey. Different diagnoses, different stories… but a shared need for a place to land in the middle of it all.

One is walking through cancer treatments. Another is navigating a mix of heart appointments and ongoing care. Days are filled with early mornings, long appointments, unknowns, and waiting.

And in between all of that… there’s Tracy’s Sanctuary House.
A place where they can come back, take a deep breath, and just be.

No hospital rooms. No long drives back home. Just a quiet space, a warm bed, a stocked kitchen, and the comfort of knowing they’re not doing this alone.

It’s hard to put into words what that means in the middle of something so heavy, but we see it every day. The small moments. The relief. The gratitude.

This home continues to be a steady support system for people walking through some of life’s hardest chapters.
And it only exists because of this community. 🤍
