🥎 And just like that, RECOVERY IN MOTION is officially in full swing!

Last night, F5 Project kicked off our very first event with a little softball, perfect weather, LOTS of laughs, and so much fun! ☀️⚾️

Recovery in Motion was created to bring people in the recovery and the justice system together through sports, connection, and the joy of being part of something bigger than ourselves. Tonight was a beautiful reminder that recovery doesn't have to be done alone. It can be filled with friendship, laughter, new experiences, and making memories along the way. 💪🏼❤️

A HUGE shout out to Care Coordinator Dani for making her vision come to life! When Dani was new to recovery and reentering the community after incarceration, she was able to get involved in different sport leagues. These leagues and the connections she made during these leagues were an essential part of her now 10+ years of clean time.

If you're interested in playing kickball, volleyball, softball, or more, reach out to Dani at 701-997-4530!

***no fees associated, sports equipment not needed, dates/times change weekly based on location of events (contact Dani for time and locations), anyone welcome***

F5 Project - Minot hosted its monthly Re-Entry Supper last night. Thank you, Wade for sharing your story!

Last night at our Reentry & Connection Meal, we had the privilege of hearing from Wade Duchaine, who shared a powerful story of family, addiction, criminal justice involvement, and ultimately, redemption.

Wade spoke openly about being involved in the criminal justice system from the age of 13 and how addiction became deeply rooted in his family and his life. But his story didn’t end there.

Today, Wade’s focus is simple but powerful: being a good dad, being a good person, and giving back to the community he once felt lost in through criminal activity and addiction.

His story was a beautiful reminder that reentry is about so much more than coming home. It’s about reconnecting. Rebuilding relationships. Finding purpose. And becoming part of a community again.

Wade did an incredible job reminding us that people are more than their past, and that change is possible when someone is given the opportunity, support, and connection to create something different.

Thank you, Wade, for sharing your story and for reminding us why these conversations matter. ❤️

Your past may be part of your story, but it does not have to be the end of it.

From our F5 Project - Williston - Watford City office:

September is Recovery Month 🖤❤️

Meet Gina, Care Coordinator and Peer Support for the Williston an Watford City area.

"I've been thinking a lot about what recovery really means to me.

My story isn't a perfect one. I didn't get sober because life suddenly became easy. I got sober because I knew I couldn't keep living the way I was living.

Then life happened in ways I never could have imagined.

I lost my son, Tyler. I experienced a kind of grief I didn't know a person could survive. And I had a choice to make—would I go back to the things I once used to numb the pain, or would I learn to walk through the pain sober?

By God's grace, I chose to keep walking.

That doesn't mean I've never struggled. I've had hard days. I've questioned things. I've cried. I've wanted to understand why. But today, I don't have to drink to get through those moments.

God has slowly taken the broken pieces of my life and given them purpose.

The woman who once needed someone to believe in her now gets the privilege of sitting beside people who are struggling and saying, “I believe there is more for you.”

That's what recovery means to me.

And every day I get to help someone else find their way forward, I am reminded that God can use even the hardest parts of our story.

My past will always be part of my story. Tyler will always be part of my story. But neither one gets to write the ending.

I'm still here. I'm still sober. I'm still healing. And I'm still going.

If you're struggling today, please know this: your story isn't over. Keep going. ❤️

Late night shenanigans, courtesy of the Girl Scouts! 🍪

RD Paige and our friends at Girl Scouts go way back, and have stayed connected over the years. When they needed to find a home for over 30 cases of cookies, they knew exactly who to call!

Our men at the Transitional Living houses were VERY happy to get the late-night cookie delivery 😋

Thank you "A" for the sweet surprise and for supporting our community! ❤️

Recovery isn’t about having every day figured out. It’s about continuing to move forward, one step at a time.

Every step matters. Every conversation matters. And support can make the journey feel a little less heavy.

Recovery is a journey., and you don’t have to walk it alone.

Nothing about this week went as planned and we wouldn't change it for the world... after all, today is a great day to have a great day! ☀️

On Friday afternoon, an individual from Minot reported to the Bismarck jail to take care of a warrant. The plan was for him to be there over the weekend and for us to pick him up Monday after seeing a judge to bring him back to treatment in Minot.

Life happened and things didn't go as planned — he was released much earlier than expected.

On Monday morning when we went to pick him up, he wasn’t at the jail. We found him at an apartment where he had relapsed.

So we did all we could do; we showed up at the apartment. We spent an hour just sitting, listening, and reassuring him that he wasn’t “a waste of a person," and instead, he was worth it and he had people who cared.

Our team went with him to the ER. Our Peer Support spent 7 hours right by his side so he wouldn’t be alone while we waited for his BAC to come down to .249. While we were there, we were able to coordinate with North Central, West Central, the crisis unit, the doctors, and nurses.

After a day in the ER, he was able to go to the crisis unit to stabilize. After another 48 hours there, he is now back in Minot and checking into treatment this morning at 10:30 AM!

This wouldn’t have been possible without amazing collaboration from the F5 Project Minot team, West Central, North Central, FAA Addiction Services, the crisis team, and the hospital staff

Thank you to everyone who showed up for this individual ❤️
