What blizzard??? We had a nice horse party in the barn and didn't even notice.
However, this cycle of rain, melt, and freeze on repeat is making our area in ice rink!! And that we DON'T LIKE!!

It's -2 with a feels like temp of -12 as I fed horses tonight after church. They sang Silent Night at church and it really is a 'silent night' outside. Quite peaceful. That old North Dakota saying "It's not so bad if it's not windy" is really true! 😁

What a change from last week! First two snows of the season have provided a good blanket of white , and a fair amount of shoveling already!! But very pretty! ❄️❄️

We have been so thankful for a beautiful, long fall! The kids were able to come out for a Thanksgiving event last week. We enjoyed some grooming, riding, and thinking about what we are thankful for, and who we are thankful to. We also got a little cookie making in at the end. (No pictures as my hands were to sticky!)

We enjoyed having the kids out for a Halloween Party and some horsey trick-or-treating and fall games!!

It is amazing how fall is hanging on! Our plants haven't frozen yet and the yard is still so green. I think the horses have appreciated that the flies are starting to go away though!

What a wonderful, caring, and committed group of volunteers we had this year helping to mentor kids at the ranch! We truly could not do it without all of their support! These people are a huge blessing to us, and if you know them or see them around, please say thank you from us and all the kids at the ranch!
