North Dakota Junior High Rodeo Division

North Dakota Junior High Rodeo Division The NDJHRD offers two types of membership to students in grades 6-8 in the state of North Dakota. The first is a Competing Membership.

With this type of membership you can enter any rodeo or rifle shooting competition sanctioned by the NDJHRD, and will have the opportunity to qualify for or earn some or all of the following:

1. Individual rodeo & and rifle shoot awards and state finals championship awards. Contestants finishing in the top three at individual rodeos will receive prizes including a trophy buckle for the champion a

nd miscellaneous prizes for 2nd and 3rd place. In addition, contestants earn points at each rodeo throughout the season. Points are used to determine year end champions and placers who also receive numerous awards given at the State Finals Championship Rodeo.

2. Scholarships & Other Awards. NHSRA sponsors provide scholarship and clothing/tack award opportunities for students who meet their award criteria.

3. Lifelong Friendships & Memories! The second is a Non-Competing Membership. The non-competing student membership is open to any junior high student who has a desire to support junior high rodeo and has an interest to become involved with the sport on the local, state or national level but is unable to be an actual competing member for whatever reason.
