Six years ago today, we picked up the keys to 321 S. 1st Street and a vision for a place where people could come together and recover together became real.

At the time, it was just a building. Today, it’s The Hub and home to Coffee at 321. It’s the place where neighbors become friends over a cup of coffee, where someone finds the courage to ask for help, where laughter fills the room on a Thursday night, and where community happens, naturally, honestly, and without pretense.

The Hub is home to Hope Manor’s offices and hosts recovery meetings that have changed countless lives. But it’s also just a really good place to grab a cup of coffee, meet a friend, or find a seat at a table where everyone belongs. Because we believe that connection is at the heart of everything and that a space built on recovery has something to offer everyone.

When we walked through our doors in 2020, we didn’t know all this building would become. But we knew Bismarck needed a place where people could show up as they are. And every single day since, you’ve proven that to be true.

Come together. Recover together. That’s The Hub. 💛

Someone left this at our door, and we are still thinking about it. 🧡

We don’t know who you are, but we felt every word.

Creating a space where people can connect, belong, and find their footing is the whole heartbeat of The Hub. Most days, we just put our heads down and get to work. We love what we do, and we believe in it deeply, but we’d be lying if we said it wasn’t profoundly moving to know that someone out there felt it too. Enough to find this plaque, engrave a moving message, and quietly leave it at our door.

To the anonymous soul who did this, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You reminded us why this place exists, and you made us feel seen in the most beautiful way.

Bismarck, you never stop showing up for us. We hope we never stop showing up for you. 🧡

Something beautiful is happening at The Hub. 💛

Coffee at 321 (located with in The Hub) is launching the Pay It Forward Community Token Board and it’s exactly what it sounds like. Neighbors taking care of neighbors. No applications. No explanations. No judgment.

Here’s how it works: if you’re in a position to give, just tell your barista you’d like to Pay It Forward. Add $1, $5, or cover a full meal. She will put a token on the board. That’s it. You’ve just made sure someone in our community doesn’t go hungry this week.

If you’re the one having a hard week — see those yellow tokens on the board? One of them is yours if you need it. Grab it, hand it to your barista, and the rest is taken care of. No questions asked. Just a hot meal.

Every Wednesday from 5–8:30 PM, Coffee @ 321 is serving up a full combo — soup, sandwich, chips & coffee — for $8.95. Same price, every week. Because a hot, dignified dinner should be available to everyone in this community, every single week.
