On this Giving Tuesday, we’re honoring the life and legacy of Jacquelin Walker—a beloved Board Member, retired Clinical Counselor, and community leader who dedicated her life to serving others.

In 2025, Tomorrow’s Leaders LLC launched the Jacquelin Walker Legacy Student Leader Award, a $1,000 scholarship that will be awarded in spring 2026 to two exceptional rising 12th graders:
• One student at Lee Central High School (Bishopville, SC)
• One student at Newberry High School (Newberry, SC)

These students will be recognized for their academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to community service.

We are inviting you—our community, partners, and friends—to help us fund this important scholarship and celebrate the next generation of emerging leaders.

There is no set donation amount. Every contribution helps us move closer to our goal.

You can give in several ways:

We’ll feature some of these leadership moments next week (with your permission).

Superintendent Bernard McDaniel said, “When there is a recognized need, it's up to the community to band together"!

We couldn’t agree more. It’s how all events and programs succeed, and it’s how we’ll tackle future challenges.

Lee County, thank you for banding together with Tomorrow’s Leaders.

Every time you show up, donate supplies, or even comment on our posts, you are part of the solution.

🧡 THANK YOU to Our Incredible Partners 🧡

We believe it takes a village and because of you, we’ve been able to uplift and empower students and families across Lee County for almost 9 years.

Whether you donated supplies, showed up at an event, offered services, shared our mission, or simply believed in our youth, your partnership made a difference.

We’ve missed connecting with many of you over the past year, but please know: our gratitude has never wavered. You are a vital part of the Tomorrow’s Leaders family, and we’re excited to rebuild, reimagine, and refocus together.

Let’s keep making an impact one young leader at a time. 💫

👉 If we’ve worked together before, drop a “🫶🏽” in the comments or tag your organization, we’d love to reconnect!

I founded Tomorrow’s Leaders in 2016 because I saw so much untapped potential in our Lee County youth.

I grew up in Lee County, seeing many bright young people hesitate to use their voice.

I was once a shy girl too, until my parent, friends and mentors encouraged me to step up. 💕

This community means the world to me , that’s why even when we face challenges or resistance, I keep pushing forward.

Every smile at a Back-to-School Bash, every teen who gains confidence, keeps me going.

Just wanted to share my gratitude with all of you for believing in our mission. 🙏

Together, we are truly Transforming Our Youth.

Thank you for being here. Dr. Tracy

School Stress Is REAL!

Here are 5 research-backed tips to help your child manage stress and avoid burnout.

💖 Remember, mental health is just as important as academics.

A calm mind is a focused mind. Let your student know it's okay to slow down and that you're there to support them.

🎓 5 Tips to Help Your Student Manage Stress

🧠 1. Create a Consistent Routine
Students thrive on structure. Set regular times for homework, meals, and sleep to help reduce anxiety and build a sense of control.

✏️ 2. Encourage Short Study Breaks
Breaks help recharge the brain. Try the “Pomodoro” method—25 minutes of focused study, followed by a 5-minute break. It improves retention and prevents burnout.

🌬️ 3. Practice Deep Breathing Together
When stress spikes, teach your child simple breathing exercises. Try "4-7-8 breathing": Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7, exhale for 8. It calms the nervous system quickly.

💬 4. Create a Safe Space to Talk
Let your child know it’s okay to express their feelings. Ask open-ended questions like, “What part of your day felt hardest?” or “What’s on your mind?”

🤸 5. Get Moving Every Day
Physical activity reduces stress hormones. Whether it’s dancing, walking, or a sport—encourage 20+ minutes of movement daily to boost mood and focus.
