These good people picked up this trash. That’s actually a lot less trash than I’d expect with this much volunteer help, which shows the effectiveness of annual clean ups. Chris Leonard wants to extend my deepest “thank you” to everyone who took the time this morning to help. He also wants to thank all the people and groups that sponsored the 12th Annual Owens River Clean Up, to make it possible. Stay tuned for a detailed media release early next week…

The star of the show tomorrow - the dumpster! - is at Pleasant Valley Campground. We will meet tomorrow morning at 8am for coffee and baked goods. Itinerary tomorrow - Meet @ campground on the other side of the river (drive around or cross the footbridge) @ 8AM. Pick up trash after checking in until 11AM. Lunch @ 11AM. Raffle @ 1130AM. Event ends at noon. Hope to see you there tomorrow! Thanks to Bishop Disposal for donating the dumpster, and Inyo County for waiving dump fees.

This Wednesday, September 30, Crowley Fish Foundation hosts its next fly tying clinic. It’s at Bishop Country Club, starts @ 5pm, and all ability levels are welcome! Best of all… it’s free! Bring friends and family. The events are calendarized on the CFF website…
