MOMSS Moms of Military Servicemen & Servicewomen This is an organization dedicated to support Military persons serving from the Owens Valley. We send overseas every Month and stateside twice a year.

MOMS stands for Moms of Military Servicemen: This club was start in the World War II era in Bishop and has been going strong again since 9/11. We are excited to send care packs to the local men and women who serve our country so proudly. Servicemen and women love receiving local goodies and information such as newspapers about the happenings in the area. We would love to have input from the community on ideas of what to pack and we will gladly accept donations of items to pack, packing supplies, etc. Board Meetings will be held after each pack, and all are welcome to attend. Some suggestions of individually packed items are:

Crystal Light packets, Packets of Tuna, wrapped candy, small beef jerky packages, chewing gum, nuts, dried fruit or fruit leathers, Trail mix bars, sunflower seeds, or any other snack items, and of course homemade cookies on the day of the packs! Various fundraiser are performed throughout the year, this information will be posted as it becomes available. Thanks for the continued support we get from the wonderful community we live in.

All you Military Families out there, we need updates PLEASE! We have so many Service Women and Men who are serving in areas to help protect our country and others. Please let us know if they are over seas and CAN recieve packages. Not on our list? Please reach out so we can send you the application. Interested in being a member of our organization, please let us know, we can always use more help, more hands, more ideas and more support for our Soldiers!! Our next pack is the first week of August, so please get us info by July 29th.

Our soldier pack is coming quick for the 4th of July. If you have anything you would like to add to the boxes, please make sure you drop your items off by Friday, June 12th at 4:30 to City Hall. Lets help them celebrate 250 years!!

MOMMS Club is packing for 4th of July for all of our registered soldiers on June 13th. Donations can be dropped off at City Hall. Items can include cookies, candies, fun 4th of July goodies, special cards and notes. PLEASE, do not donate anything that can melt. We are always accepting donations of less perishable food items such as beef jerky, meat sticks, any type of single drink packets, toiletries such as travel tooth brushes, travel size toothpaste, travel deoderants, chapsticks, hand wipes, qtips and kleenex. We have roughly 40 to pack for, and we appreciate everything our Community steps in to help with.
