🇺🇸 Flag Day & Flag Retirement Ceremony 🇺🇸
On Sunday, members of Darling-Gunderson American Legion Post 341 were honored to host our annual Flag Day and Flag Retirement Ceremony.
We were privileged to be joined by the Cub Scout Pack 445 and Scouts BSA Troop 445 of Wittenberg-Birnamwood, who played an important role in the ceremony. Their participation helped remind all of us that respect for our nation's flag and the values it represents is being passed on to the next generation.
During the ceremony, we reflected on the history and meaning of the American flag, honored its service to our nation, and properly retired worn and unserviceable flags with the dignity and respect they deserve.
A special thank you to the Scouts, their leaders, our Legion members, and everyone from the community who attended and helped make this event meaningful. We are grateful to all those who took the time to collect and bring flags for proper retirement.
The American flag is more than cloth and thread—it is a symbol of the sacrifices, freedoms, and opportunities that unite us as Americans.
May we always honor and protect the principles for which it stands.
🇺🇸 God Bless America. 🇺🇸
