Congratulations to Ella Swanson, who was recently recognized with the DAISY Award. Her nomination read, in part: "When your child is in the PICU, you never forget the people who make them feel safe. During a spring break trip, 10-year-old Grant experienced a serious Type 1 diabetes-related emergency far from home. Children's of Alabama's Critical Care Transport Team helped bring her safely back to Birmingham, where she and her family received the support they needed.
