It’s a heavy realization to come to. You want to be there for every moment, but caring for a loved one with dementia, Parkinson’s, or a stroke is exhausting. You need a break. They need a change of scenery.

That’s why we created CJFS CARES. Standing for Caring for Adults through Respite, Enrichment and Socialization, CARES isn't just a drop-off service. It’s a dedicated program where your loved one can thrive, and you can finally catch your breath.

We meet Monday through Thursday, 10 AM to 2 PM, to give you both exactly what you need: a little breathing room and a lot of support.

If there’s one thing we see every day, it’s this:
People trying to navigate all of this on their own.
And they don’t have to.

There are people who understand this stage of life. Who know the challenges. Who can help you think clearly and take the next step.

Whether you’re a senior trying to stay independent, or an adult child trying to support a parent—support exists.

That’s why Senior Solutions is here. Not to take over. Just to help you move forward with a little more clarity and a lot less weight.

Today, on Holocaust Survivor Day, we honor the resilience, courage, and strength of those who survived one of history's darkest chapters.

Their stories remind us not only of what was lost, but of what endured: hope, perseverance, family, and the determination to rebuild.

At CJFS, we are proud to support and celebrate Holocaust survivors in our community. May we continue to listen, learn, and ensure their stories are never forgotten.

There’s no perfect plan.

Every family is different. Every situation is different.

But most people are just trying to do right by someone they love.

If you’re second guessing every decision, that’s normal.

Having someone walk through it with you — someone who’s seen it before — can make all the difference.

Senior Solutions is there to bring clarity and confidence to decisions that feel anything but simple.

Care decisions aren’t just emotional.
They’re financial too.

What can we afford?
What makes sense long term?
What happens if needs change?

These are hard conversations — and most families aren’t having them early enough.
Clarity helps. Even just understanding the options can relieve a lot of pressure.
Senior Solutions helps families think through these decisions with a clearer picture of what’s ahead.

This is the tension a lot of families live in.
You don’t want to overstep.
But you also don’t want to wait for something to happen.

Falls. Driving. Home setup.

Most safety issues are preventable — if you look at them early.

It doesn’t have to be drastic. Often it’s small changes that make the biggest difference.
Senior Solutions helps families think proactively, so decisions aren’t made in the middle of a crisis.

Multiple doctors.
Multiple medications.
Appointments, follow-ups, instructions.

It adds up quickly — and it’s easy for things to fall through the cracks.

A missed dose here.
A misunderstood instruction there.

No one means for it to happen. It just does.

Having someone help organize and coordinate care can make a huge difference — not just in outcomes, but in peace of mind.

That’s a big part of what Senior Solutions helps families navigate.

There’s a point where everyday things start taking more effort.

Carrying groceries.
Climbing stairs.
Cooking a full meal.

Individually, they don’t seem like a big deal.
Together, they start to wear someone down.

This is where small adjustments can make a big difference — before things turn into bigger
problems.

Senior Solutions helps identify those pressure points early and find ways to make daily life easier without giving up independence.

We talk a lot about physical health.
Not enough about what it feels like.

Friends pass away.
Mobility changes.
Getting out becomes harder.
Days get quieter.
Loneliness isn’t just sad — it impacts overall health in real ways.
Connection matters. Routine matters. Having someone check in matters.

Senior Solutions isn’t just about logistics. It’s about making sure people stay connected, engaged, and seen.

A HUGE thank you to the Grandview Medical Auxillary Group for their generous donation to our CARES Respite program. We are grateful to our wonderful CJFS volunteer, Alan Seitel, who presented the check to CARES Program Director, Pam Leonard and CARES Assistant Program Director, Lise Grace.

CJFS CARES (Caring for Adults through Respite, Enrichment and Socialization) understands the unique challenges faced by those living with movement and memory disorders such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s, or stroke. Our program is more than just a service; it’s a lifeline for participants and their caregivers. Designed to engage the mind, body, and spirit, CJFS CARES offers a sanctuary of support, enrichment, and socialization.
