The Sixth Avenue Community Development Corporation's impact is driven by young, hardworking leaders who pour into our students, volunteer their time, govern in between life's responsibilities, and simply believe in our work.

Congratulations to a few of them who are crossing the stage this week and reminding younger learners behind them to continue chasing their dreams:

• Sophia Cantelow (Adventurers' class counselor) - commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant with the US Air Force

• Kyndall Davis (Tues/Thurs AfterSchool tutor) - graduated from Lawson State Community College

• R Jordan Davis (CDC Board Member) - earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law

We're still blown away by the energy, smiles, and COMMUNITY at our 3rd Annual Steps for Summer Walk/Run & Wellness Festival!

Because of YOUR support, we raised over $23,000 for summer camp scholarships and programming!🥳

Special thanks to our superstar volunteer team, vendors, performers, everyone who crossed the finish line, and our generous sponsors for making this day possible! Together, we took over 350,000 steps to give children life-building summer experiences🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️🏁🏆
