A thoughtfully designed space can reduce stress, encourage healing, and bring true happiness—especially for children enduring long and grueling cancer treatment paths.

At Designing Dreams, a room makeover is so much more than just décor. Every transformation is planned and personalized down to the smallest detail, reflecting each child’s passions, favorite colors, and dreams. From wall art to bedding, from lighting to play spaces, every choice is made with love and care to create a space where they feel safe, joyful, and inspired to keep fighting.

There are moments that words simply can’t capture - bedroom transformation reveal days is one of them. The moment a child and their family sees their dream room for the first time is pure magic.

For Nora, this space became so much more than a room. It’s a place where she can dream, find comfort, and hold onto joy during her cancer treatments.

Her mother shared, “It gave Nora something to dream about, something to look forward to, and something to be excited about. These kids go through so much, and a gift like this really changes the perspective of the journey. She now knows that she can face the remainder of her treatments with a place to find comfort and joy.”

For a young boy bravely battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), we set out to create a bedroom where strength, imagination, and hope could thrive—a Star Wars–themed dream come true.

From galaxy walls and Jedi-worthy details to a space station Xbox nook — he has his very own launch pad for fun and adventure. This transformation was all about giving him a space where he could recharge, play, and feel like the hero he already is.

Because every child fighting cancer deserves to feel powerful, brave, and surrounded by the things they love most.
