Hello September! Summer has come to a close as we head into the new school year and begin to enjoy the fall season. As the months fly by, our community's need for stable housing and home essentials continues to rise.

So far this year, we have served 240 clients and their families. This volume grows every single month, and nearly every family we welcome arrives with many urgent needs, especially for kitchen items.

To meet this demand,
our September Item of the Month is:
Bathroom items

WHAT WE URGENTLY NEED
bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, bathmats, shower curtains, shower curtain liners and shower curtain hooks
New and gently used items are greatly appreciated by our clients.

HOW TO DONATE YOUR ITEMS
Drop-Off in Person: You are always welcome to visit us and drop off your donation directly at our location during our standard hours.
Ship Directly to Us: If it is more convenient, you can ship your donations straight to the Community Furniture Bank warehouse.

AUGUST 2026 ITEM OF THE MONTH

Welcome to August! It is hard to believe we are almost to the end of the summer. As the months fly by, our community's need for stable housing and home essentials continues to rise.

Plates, bowls, mugs, cooking utensils, potholders, casserole dishes, serving bowls
New and gently used items are greatly appreciated by our clients.

Dear Friends,

Happy 4th of July!!

The months are quickly flying by. It’s hard to believe we are halfway through the year.

Our ITEM OF THE MONTH for July will be bed linen sheet sets and bath linens. All bed sizes are needed, twin, full, queen and king. Both new and gently used linens would be greatly appreciated by our clients. Since the beginning of the year, we served 178 clients and their immediate family members living in the same household. This volume of clients is consistently growing each month, and they have multiple needs for linens.

Any time you would like to drop off your donation, you are welcome to visit us. If it is more convenient, you can ship your donations directly to the Community Furniture Bank warehouse.

Dear Friends,

Welcome to April and the spring season. We are so grateful for the support we continue to receive from our community of donors.

We have experienced a very busy first quarter. We have served over 100 clients so far in 2026. This volume of clients each month can very easily deplete our inventory of basic household items. We are very pleased to be able to share these items with our community and appreciate that you can support these efforts.
As we continue to see multiple clients / families each week, the ITEM OF THE MONTH for April will be bed sheets and blankets for all bed sizes. We are glad to accept gently used and new items.

Item of the Month

Dear Friends,

Happy New Year! We are so grateful for the support we continue to receive from our community of donors.

In 2025, we served over 350 clients/families. Providing them with beds, sofas, linens, kitchenware, etc. gives them hope that their lives have meaning. The over 60 social service agencies that we have worked with this year consistently are amazed at the services we provide. The Community Furniture Bank is usually the last piece of the puzzle in getting clients all they need to be successful.

As we continue to see multiple clients / families each week, the ITEMs OF THE MONTH for February will be sheet sets and bed pillows. Extra fitted sheets, any size, are always a welcome addition. We are glad to accept gently used and new items.

Dear Friends,

We have almost completed the year, and we are so grateful for the support we continue to receive from our community of donors.

As we continue to see multiple clients / families each week, the ITEMs OF THE MONTH for December will be bath towels, shower curtains and kitchen towels. We are glad to accept gently used and new items.

We are amazed at how busy we have been this year. There have been over 342 individual clients/households served so far this year. The number of clients in our community needing assistance grows each week and we are striving to have the shelves stocked to meet their basic needs.
