✨ ATL OAA Southeast Credible Messengers – Heroes in the Hood Thanksgiving Gala ✨

What a powerful night of love, legacy, and leadership! Our youth showed up sharp, their parents stood proud, and our community wrapped around them like family. This is what happens when real Credible Messengers pour into our young people with truth, accountability, and hope.

Tonight wasn’t just a gala — it was a celebration of growth, healing, and possibilities.
We laughed, we ate, and we affirmed every young king and queen in the room.

To our ATL Southeast team: you showed out.
To our parents: thank you for trusting us.
To our youth: keep walking in your purpose — you are the Heroes in the Hood.
To our partners and friends: we see you, we appreciate you, and we’re building this future together.

🧡 Stronger Together. Brighter Together. Growing Together.

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Justice-Impacted Veterans 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to honor every man and woman who has served in our nation’s Armed Forces — especially those who have also walked the path of justice involvement and transformation.

Your service to this country didn’t end when you took off the uniform. You continue to serve — rebuilding lives, strengthening families, and uplifting communities. Your resilience, courage, and leadership remind us that redemption is powerful and that purpose can rise from any past.

From all of us at the Offender Alumni Association (OAA) — we salute you, we thank you, and we stand with you. 💚💛

Peer Support is working at OAA….

All Things Reentry… One Person at a Time.

At OAA, we support individuals as they transition, not only physically, but also mentally, emotionally, and socially.

Our approach is holistic and person-centered, recognizing that true reentry is about healing and growth in every area of life.

Because when it comes to change, Peer Support Works!

We accompany them in real life, our program success is THEIR SUCCESS!

We’re so thankful for everyone who came out to our support meeting last night — and a special welcome to the 4 new faces who joined us! 💚

At OAA, we’re here to offer social and emotional support for those transitioning after incarceration. We know that this season can feel overwhelming and lonely , but you’re not alone. This is the beginning of something new, and we’ll walk this journey with you every step of the way.

Our peer mentors connect through shared experiences and help in areas like employment, housing, life skills, and personal growth , because together, we rise.

🌟 OAA on the Move! 🌟

This week, Founding Member Dena Dickerson and I had the honor of representing the Offender Alumni Association (OAA) at the Cities United Conference in Louisville, Kentucky — surrounded by leaders from across the country who share our passion for saving lives, strengthening families, and building safer communities.

Between the powerful sessions and the heartfelt conversations, Dena and I took some intentional time to look ahead. On that ride back home, we started shaping OAA’s 2026–2031 Strategic Plan — one built on growth, healing, and sustainability.

We came back inspired, recharged, and ready to keep leading this movement of love, purpose, and accountability. The work continues… and so does the vision. 💚💛
