Remember when everybody knew everybody? The neighborhood stores, the kids playing outside, and that one grown-up who knew your mama AND wasn’t scared to call her? 😂

Hey family! These arm & hammer laundry detergents are on sale at Walgreens. We’d love to have some donated to our pantry! 🤞🏾🏠🦍

For context: We typically get 5 load bottles for $1.50. These are 21 loads for 50cents more! This will go a much longer way for our people. ✨✨✨

The free and clear detergent is highly requested but we’ll take any! The pods are good too!

They also have Walgreens brand gallon zip bags buy one get ✌️ free. We need those too.

If you’d rather send a donation we can go pick them up ourselves. Monetary donations can be made online.

Busy Monday! 🦍🔥🏠

Our Cristo Rey Birmingham work study student A’Livia has been busy all morning preparing hygiene and household kits for our Nov 4th distribution.

In case you haven’t heard. We’re having a SPECIAL distribution Nov 4 in partnership with Iron Kid Ministries.

We will have free groceries, hygiene supplies, books AND FREE ATHLETIC EQUIPMENT!

From 4 PM–8 PM, 15% of qualifying net sales will be donated to support the work we’re doing right here in our community.

Today we spent time with Community Food Bank of Central Alabama. Our Cristo Rey Birmingham work study student Londyn had the opportunity to attend with Ms. Knight and I as we learned more about the needs of our central Alabama community, systems designed to simplify our ordering processes and more insight on how the food bank operates to serve us so that we can serve the community. We even won prizes and got gifts. 🥳🥳🥳
