Woodlawn just got a little fuller with the additions of Dimples Flowers and The TreeBar Courtyard! Both businesses celebrated their grand openings this past weekend and are now officially open, bringing even more beauty and good vibes to the district.😎💐

New art, now complete! Local artist Erica Chisolm has put the finishing touches on this vibrant mural celebrating the people and places that keep Woodlawn so dope!

First Friday is back with a special class led by Bare Hands Inc. Guests are invited to bring cherished memories, photos, and memorabilia of a loved one to create a memorial box, or ofrenda (which means “offering” in Spanish). In Latin traditions, ofrendas honor loved ones who have passed away and help keep their memories alive for future generations. This spiritual and mental wellness class is open to everyone.

Commemorate your lost loved one in an environment welcoming shared loss, support, and collective storytelling as you create a memorial box.

The Woodlawn business family is growing! Dimples Flowers is putting down permanent roots in the district with a new home at the corner of 1st Ave S and 55th Place.

They’re planning a grand opening on August 29, so stay tuned for more details coming soon!

The rain did NOT stop us! Wellness in Woodlawn: Brick’d Up edition was a success!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and to Bianca for leading such a fun, high-energy class for the community. And a major shout-out to the Woodlawn Theatre for letting us take over their space and get out of the rain!

We’ll see you at the next First Friday on September 4 with a fun partnership with Bare Hands, Inc. More to come!
